Oh the woes of this world are many and varied. I've been hammering songs together for a while now, and they're just about ready to pop out of the oven. Robert can't wait for the band's input. Being separated from my homies, though, I am in despair. When college hits we'll be sure to hit you up with some, and until then all of us giant artisians are bustly working at the treadmills grinding wheat for the townfolk.

We have a bunch coming 'round the bend. Please, requite your patronizing and give us some slax. Slax is an interesting Linux distribution. I've played around with it a bit, but don't have time right now to be more involved in it.

Pax, fans. Pax.

"Lessons in Space" will be released on Halloween, October 31. It's a skimpy little thing, selling at $3.

You should probably buy it if you like that kind of thing.

The label has more details: http://lonelymonster.com/.

It's been a while. Let me update ya'll on my nascent music.

The band is hardly flourishing here in the Chi of cago. Technically speaking, my music is progressing but my band is not expanding. However, I'm finishing up the packaging of an EP called "Lessons in Space".

I'm proud of its quality and can't wait to get it out there. If you like Ben Folds Five then don't get this record (ha ha--?). Retail price will be reasonably low, just being an 8-song EP. I'll post and Lonely Monster Records will fill in the details when the time comes.

How about them Panda Prophets?

sad Robert

I'm very excited to be leaving for college in a week, but unfortunately my next record isn't done yet. I will probably not finish it until Christmas break. We'll see how college goes, but the songs that I haven't finished use a software program called Pro Tools, which cannot be used without a piece of hardware called a DIGI 001, which my brother Joe owns and will keep here in the Missouri. Pardon my speak.

I've made significant changes to the Lonely Monster Records website yet again, and am very proud of it, even though it's a monster site for a little history, some pictures, and a miniscule band. "Function over form," but form has good qualities, too. Take a look at www.lonelymonster.com/.

Any questions about anything? Having computer trouble?

Here's Alone arrived yesterday snug in its corrugated cardboard, the plastic still warm from the presses. The ol' label has them selling at $8 by mail, all fees accounted for, and they're available locally at Vintage Vinyl for $6.99.

The label's website is going to make a few major and minor updates later today, and I've been working on a website for Electrohome, more because of the fun that goes into making new websites, not because the site is necessary. It will probably surface--in a few months--in a lonelymonster.com subdomain; something like www.electrohome.lonelymonster.com.

I heard someone in the office gossiping about another CD that Electrohome is "already working on", and I'll let you know if I hear anything more substantial.

I gave in. I'm looking into having Here's Alone professionally printed and replicated, instead of printing the artwork myself and only the CD's by someone else. It will probably be available in February or March because of this change.

I had been planning on buying a 10-year-old guitar from someone who I don't know, but my drummer was nervous, so I found a new guitar instead. I found a limited edition, blue, Canadian-made, Seagull acoustic guitar with a nice pickup and 15 percent off, including a case. Cutaway, solid top, gloss lacquer that ages like fine wine... Unfortunately, my check was declined. I called the store's corporate entity in California, and they told me I could either write more checks or buy their Gold Membership to use checks at their store. Never listen to a drummer.

I'm looking into getting a credit card...

A few things are happening here. This is the first that Electrohome has been on MySpace, first of all. The band has recorded about five songs of a full-length CD tentatively titled Here's Alone. I considered buying a video camera to shoot footage to include on the CD, but after an attempted scam for my money I've decided that real video cameras cost too much.

Go to the label's website for details and news from the third-person perspective. http://lonelymonster.com/

A couple songs should be up on MySpace by this evening.
