As events relentlessly continue to unfold inside the confines of Camp Hot Chip, we can reveal some diverting facts and interesting details of our plans for next year. There will be a new album, set for release in February, to warm the cockles of your soul right in the middle of the bleak mid-winter. We're just completing the finishing touches right now, and we're also gearing up for a return, possibly triumphant, to the live arena, as a UK tour is also in the offing for February.

Al has signed two plectrums to be auctioned for the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy & Ben Sherman 'VIP-Very Important Plectrums' online auction.

About, a new group featuring Alexis Taylor, Charles Hayward (This Heat, Camberwell Now), Pat Thomas and John Coxon (Springheel Jack, Spiritualized) will support Gang Gang Dance at Dingwalls in London, tonight, June 1st. Joe Goddard will also be playing records at the gig so make sure you get along early and catch the whole event. Hot Chip recently judged the sound category for the VICE magazine ‘Creating Sense5’ competition. Hot Chip are proud to announce the winning entry is The Penny Serenade. 

“The band have an original sound, whilst drawing on traditional forms. They are experimental in a subtle way rather than for the sake of experimentation. The singer's voice and the song writing is distinctive and unusual. They don't sound particularly trendy or like they are trying to rip anyone off, just following their own road, and that is appealing. They are hard to pin-down stylistically but also melodically strong.” Hot Chip
