Hey Kids. On Friday 21st of August at ColdRice The Big Bang will play their last UK show.

We want to thank every one who has supported us over the years, we have had a blast and are proud of the records we made, shows we played and close friends we now have as a result of making such a glorious racket.

You can find our two LPs (Shoot The Freak & Johnny, the Dog and the Donkey) for sale at www.coldrice.com and we may just dig out some rarities and stick them up on Myspace for you loyal Bangers.

We are all moving on to exciting pastures new and hope that you dig our future endevours as much as we plan to.

So kids, we made it back from SXSW OK with plenty of tales, full bellies and a thirst to crack on with album 2.

Our shows went down a storm, with Fellow ColdRice hoodlums Copter and Swampmeat also doing a truly commendable turn.

Whilst in sunny Austin we impressed BBC 6 disk jockey Mr Tom Robinson who has kindly added ’In Love or Death’ to his play list. Go check it out.

Now we are back, 2 day detoxed and ready for action. No gigs for the minute but we are workin’ on new stuff which is indeed the bomb.

Now that the sexy poster has grabbed your attention, dig this..... ColdRice for 2008 will be throwing down at The Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath the second friday of every month.

And whats more, we have been asked to get things underway!!! Armed with a bunch of new material and supported by ColdRice virgins 'The Solomans' its gonna be a good one.

Hey kids. Its been a while eh? We wanna rock out one last time this year before we lock ourselves away agian and continue work on the follow up to Shoot The Freak.

We've been eatin' our spinach and practicing our Kabbalah for this one off show and we're also gonna throw in a bunch of new material for your listening pleasure.

To top it off you get to see the truly immense Creepy Morons do their thing. Not to be missed.

So here we are. About time too. A f**cking record.

As any of you close to the Bang know, over the years we've had some appalling luck, some near misses, strokes of genius and perhaps attacks of stupidity. But alas, we aim to put it all behind us and draw a line beneath the last few years.

We've written, played, completed and worked on over 100 songs over recent years. Some never making past infancy, some achieving 'Oh god I wish they'd give this song a rest!' status. But we've now completed our DEBUT album. (Any of those D.I.Y CDs you bought still contain different versions to all the tracks on the album. Lucky you.).

To some the album may seem like a 'best of' or 'greatest hits that never were'. But these songs required a home, else they ran the risk of wandering around getting lost in the ether when we make new toys to play with.

So here we are. Shoot the Freak, for your listening pleasure. We are grateful to anyone who's helped us over the years leading up to our first 'proper' record and cannot wait to meet new fans out there.

Join us and party hard to celebrate the release of the record, not to mention BUY it! We'll be playing the album LIVE in it's entirety (hopefully) and we have legendary Coldrice DJs Caz & Adam to get the dancefloor going. See you down the front.

We won't be playing many gigs for a while as we are mid way through recording our debut album (at last) with the mighty Steve and Dave Copter. Just to let you know it sounds hot as shit!! and were sure it'll rock ur cocks off!!
