Hellfire Trigger – Sent Down To Burn CD (New Age)
This is one excellent band! I know I could have said that much more
colourful, but wanted to get straight to the point. If you like pure
old school hardcore, but think it just needs to have some original
edges to keep you on your toes, Hellfire Trigger is the band. Haven't
heard or read anywhere during my quest in info for this band through
the Internet they draw influences from (old)H2O or Token Entry, but
it's just this melodic mixture of bands that came to mind. Other
bands that have been mentioned as an example were Black Flag and
Minor Threat, which I can also agree on. Don't expect some weird,
uncomprehensible amalgation of punrock shrapnel on "Sent Down To
Burn", which you might expect after the aforementioned description.
In their own way, it's very catchy in a bit of a chaotic way, I guess
you could say in a Death By Stereo sort of way. There's a live DVD in
the works too of these guys, and it makes me wonder what mayhem they
unleash on stage.
