KJ-52 and Group 1 Crew announce their co-headlining tour the MODERN DAY HEROES TOUR, which will kick off in February 2010.  The MODERN DAY HEROES TOUR will be a 30 date tour hitting more than 15 states across the country for over six weeks. This co-headlining tour will be filled with vertical rhymes, high energy dance moves, and possibly even a few surprises. You can expect all the same energy and showmanship that both KJ-52 and Group 1 Crew bring to their own shows all under one roof.

The MODERN DAY HEROES TOUR is more than a concert, it is a tour with a two-fold purpose; members of the local communities will nominate a MODERN DAY HERO to be locally recognized as a community service hero, and, secondly, the artists will host a pre-show Firestarter Bible Study for the local youth.

The community aspect of the tour first includes the nomination of a local hero. For each market, anyone will be able to submit their nomination for a local service hero.  This person needs to exemplify dedication to ministry, his or her community, and others around the area. The selected hero will be honored in their city when the MODERN DAY HERO TOUR hits their town. Info on nominating a MODERN DAY HERO will be announce in the near future!

Secondly, KJ-52 and Group 1 Crew will implement and lead a Firestarter Bible Study walking through the book of Luke for local youth groups in each tour market.  Interacting on a spiritual level and studying scripture prior to the concert will be a pre-sale purchase for youth groups. Each bible study will be limited to the first 75 people who purchase pre-sale tickets. Info on how to purchase advance tickets will be announced shortly!

Tis the season to be thankful and that we truly are. Thankful for the grace of God, thankful for your support, and thankful for the opportunity to continue to do what we love to do. We seriously appreciate each and everyone of you because without you there would be no us. I love that that's how this industry works. We need each other and that's not a bad thing! It's actually one of reality. I'm extremely thankful for this because it puts our lives into this lovely perspective. WE NEED EACH OTHER!!! I love that!!! I'm thankful that in an industry where people are glamorized as rock stars, God has given us a special revelation that without the work of fans and musicians alike, this whole thing falls apart. A few weeks ago we had the priveledge of going to Australia! it was a big deal for me because ever since i was a little girl, my dream place to visit was Australia! It's crazy how God truly does give you the desires of your heart no matter how old or new they might be...

So the trip was beautiful... We got to go shopping around downtown, and every day they would take us to some of the most amazing little bakeries ever!! i was surprised that Pablo didn't turn into a hot chocolate by the time we left cause i promise you he had like 8 or 9 of them! lol But the best part of the trip was going into some of their middle schools and highschools and impacting young kids to follow their dreams! We had a huge concert on that weekend with over 10,000 kids there and witnessed hundreds if not thousands of them give their life to Jesus christ. So beautiful! It was such a great feeling to know that i played a part in that. It was at that moment i realized how blessed i truly was. Regardless of our past or our mistakes God still manages to use us to bring glory to him... If anyone would have told me 5 years ago that one day i would be going to Australia to literally change the lives of the teenagers living there, i probably would have laughed, but yet, it really did happen;)

Keep Dreaming big!! God can take you from Ordinary to a Dreamer. just look what he's done with us.

so we recently had a show in ohio and i have to admit, it was one of the best shows ever! i loved it! the funny thing is, it had nothing to do with how many people were there, or the fact that the sound was great, the pastor was awesome, none of that mattered...it was the best show because the Lord gave me a fresh breath of mercy to understand the grandness of what he was doing in my life. while i was on stage i couldn't help but shed some tears cause he was giving me a glimpse into all that he's done in my life and what he's continuing to do and even more so what he wants to do! it was so hard to focus cause as he shared with me, i just couldn't believe how kind he was to someone like me. i know i don't deserve a single ounce of grace, but praise God that he gives it freely and willingly. you see friends, theres so much that you don't see that God is doing in your life because you're eyes are fixed on a current situation or circumstance that clouds your vision from seeing the possibilities of greatness! the unseen world, or the world of faith, exists to those who choose to believe what the word says about us...that he has plans to prosper us, plans to give us a future, that everything we put our hands to will succeed, that we are his and no one can take us from his hands...we are all this and more! we are his pride, his joy, his greatness, his reason for living and the reason he was put death. we are his creation, so never lose sight of how much the Lord loves you and how much he wants to do with you. he's doing it in me, and i'm so grateful. join me friends....

so this is a true but funny story... it was a week before Gma, and i
was back home, super excited of the week to come. I went shopping,
bought new clothes, got my hair done, did my eyebrows. I mean Gma was a
pretty big deal cause not only were we going to get a chance to hang
out with every christian band in the industry, we were also going to
the Dove awards because of our two nominations!! So, as Gma got closer
i seemed to be getting really stressed out from all the pressure and
long story short i grew a humongous pimple on the middle of my
forehead! Listen to this, it was so big that my friends decided to give
it a name, Delia. so everytime we would go out and meet people, they
would say" Blanca aren't you gonna introduce them to your friend?!" How
embarrasing!

Thankfully, 2 days before The dove awards, Delia decided to go on
vacation, away from my face!! Praise the Lord! so i was clean, clear
and under control for the Doves;)

so they asked for me to put into words how it feels to win a
dove....and i don't think i can. its hard to express accurately what
this milestone means to us simply because we're so honored that we
would recieve this award and at the same time already looking past it.
its not that we're ungrateful, but we don't want to assume that we're
something more than what we really are. we love and adore our fans and
everyone who made it possible for us to achieve this goal, but we're
not even close to done and no where near to slowing down. there are
still souls to win, people to inspire and a world to change. so we
promise to not think of ourselves as anything more than blessed to
recieve a dove, and at the same time committed now more than ever to
apply our lives to bringing people closer to the truth and inspiring
them to dream even bigger...we did it and we brought home a dove!!!
