The fine and rather creepy folks at the newly formed online horror magazine, Wreckhouse Magazine had asked me to do an interview about Dr. Shroud and some of the new work I am doing. You can see that here: http://www.teamfenix.com/wreckhouse/shroud.html

They had some really good questions about my new endeavors, the revamped Dr. Shroud and mobile mobile, mobile!! I think I gave the right answers.

ANIMATION COMPANY SETS SIGHTS ON MOBILE

EarWorm Media follows flagship property Dr. Shroud into the Mobile Arena

Milford, NJ -- January 15, 2008 – Animator and Producer Robert Feldman, the creator of the popular animated series Dr. Shroud, has officially launched and opened the doors to EarWorm Media, his new animation production studio located in Milford, New Jersey just one hour from midtown Manhattan.

EarWorm Media will focus on producing animated content for mobile devices and the web, prompted by the emerging need for new media content in both domestic and international markets. Dr. Shroud, the studio's flagship property, has already made the successful leap

from web to mobile and is now in active distribution on carriers worldwide including Verizon VCast in the USA, o2 in the UK and more distribution points in Asia. New episodes of Dr. Shroud, as well as a new animated series entitled The Hyrde, will follow in 2008.

"While animated video for mobile devices has yet to truly saturate North America, this type of  'snack-sized' content has been a staple of the Asian and European viewing menu for years," said Robert Feldman President and Chief Creative Executive at EarWorm Media. "The rollout of faster mobile speeds through 3rd (3g) and 4th (4g) generation technology creates an ever growing demand for EarWorm's creative niche".

Conveniently located less than an hour from both NYC and Philadelphia, EarWorm already has several projects scheduled in 2008 for major studios. Due to the overwhelming success and popularity of Dr. Shroud, Feldman and his company are already worldwide producers of original content that compete with the established brands. EarWorm Media however, is committed to producing content for studios and budgets of all sizes.

If you would like more information on how to make your content move into the mobile realm, please call Robert Feldman at 908-528-1377 or email:  rfeldman@earwormmedia.com.

Recent reports from Thundersquid, the mobile content company, have indicated that "classic" Dr. Shroud episodes continue to remain in the top 5 downloads on mobile devices!  As I sit and hold tight for the actual hard numbers, it appears that the green one remains a killer in the mobile world.  While that's being rolled out, NEW Dr. Shroud episodes are being developed---if you haven't seen the new look yet, the trailer for the "revamped" version can be seen here:

Progress also continues on The Hyrde (http://www.thehyrde.com).  We've hit a slight bump in the road, but that appears to be on the mend as we continue with the preproduction work.  So far, things look good and I am hopeful that the revenue produced from the current mobile content will give way to the start of the full fledged Hyrde production by year's end.  The first episode is nearing completion and I am busy at work making minor edits, as well as producing a prequel of sorts.  If you are a professional and wish to see a sneak peek of the first episode, shoot me an email at drshroud@yahoo.com.  Here are some screenshots:

I am also working on a new (possibly live action?) series that draws inspiration from Japanese sci-fi monster movies and am really excited about it.  More on that later as it progresses.

The Dr. Shroud option with Fangoria has come to an end.  I wish them well and hope that maybe we can work together sometime in the future.

For now, the Dr. Shroud property will be developed exclusively for mobile devices through Thundersquid, a mobile content company in Los Angeles.  International distribution is secure and it is expected to go live within the month.  New episodes of Dr. Shroud will follow and I am in the process of writing 12 one and a half minute "snack sized" versions specifically for mobile distribution.

I am working on a NEW version of Dr. Shroud, which you can see below.  I added a new logo and redesigned him to be sleeker and scarier---hope you agree.  A new REVAMPED website will also follow soon.

Hey now.  I just found my Fangoria Radio interview that was broadcast in March when Dr. Shroud aired on Fangoria TV.  You can hear my rather nasally voice chat it up with Dee Snider and Debbie Rochon in two parts:
