this has been my first log-in since god knows when. i really haven't been staying on top of things--i had hoped to color this fanpage with exciting content from fans that experienced the ds's in their hayday. my efforts have been passive, taking only what comes my way. i do appreciate the contributions that have been made...especially the stories that were shared on the previous blog. i'm really open for suggestions to improve the page. shoot some ideas my way and i'll make it happen.

i think a more effective way of collecting suggestions and content from visitors would be to direct all input to my inbox:

meyer.david.s@gmail.com

this way i can guaruntee speedy results and responses to your messages. i'm really looking forward to receiving some neat things from you all.

i want to encourage everyone to pass this page along to friends...spread the love around a bit. especially if you know some folks that are familiar with the downsiders--it'd really be great to build a community of fans.

and all you shasta kids, pass it along to ur classmates...i know everyone would love to hear this. keith is so modest, ya know =b

also, myspace now allows bands to upload up to 10 songs...so my next mission will be to include more songs from 'all my friends are fish' on the page. ^^

감사합니다!

in effort to reconstruct the life and times of the downsiders, we're seeking fans and friends to contribute some insight, experiences, recordings, photos, reviews, concert posters, rants, raves, etcetera to benefit this cause. of course, we don't expect originals of any downsiders artifacts or memorabilia--reproductions and/or transcriptions would be incredibly generous contributions to the collection. =) so if you, or someone you know, owns or knows anything that might offer some inside perspective to rest of us, please contact us!! help revive the spirit of this progressive, innovative, and expressive generation of american music! thank you! -dave
