New track uploaded! My mix of the Pipettes 'The Shoe That Fits'. I've called it the International Seismics. I've used samples from Miwa Akihiro - my favourite singer. S/he is a Japanese chanteuse and I employed the use of her here to bring out the idea of Cinderella which is (in my ears) intimated at in the lyric of the song. Here Miwa acts as a perfect sister to the girls and exclaims hysterically over monsieur Poirot. The full 20 remixes are available on the Pipettes CD via their myspace or website. I hope you enjoy it.

On a faaaabulous Jaegermeister tour of Germany with the faaaabulous Electric Soft Paaarade! It’s a great tour with two other bands Mediengroupe Telekommander and Zoot Woman. The hotel’s are lovely, the audiences are euphoric, vibrant and animal, and the venues are rammed and lush. Tonight’s show is in Leipzig to a sold out audience of 1,400, last night was Stuttgart, Munich before that and Essen was the kick off. Dresden tomorrow. It’s all too faaaabulous for me to say anymore. Back at the weekend. DBx ps I’ve got the range! I’ve got the range! (private joke) pps Thank you Hall’s Mentholyptus!

Well, I'm still abroad. Currently in Bilbao, and about to go off to what they call 'the old town', so, well I won't exepct to see anything new there. The touring since BBC3's Singing With The Enemy has been really great, I couldn't ask for better guys to collaborate with and hang out with than Electric Soft Parade, they really are model citizens and musical heroes. Naturally their characters are reflected in the music and so the audiences they've attracted have also been really wonderful. Having trolled round France, Holland and Belgium, and now Spain, a brief stint in UK is coming up before Germany in December. Really looking forward to getting back, from what has now turned into a holiday, so I can get on with some more work.

These three men, who were branded as homosexuals, are rescued by the police after being locked inside the Monarch Pharmacy in St Andrew for about an hour yesterday. The man at front ducks after being hit on the head by a stone thrown by a member of the angry mob which had gathered outside the pharmacy and demanded that the three be handed over to them. (Photo: Garfield Robinson)
THREE men branded as homosexuals were yesterday rescued by the police from an angry mob outside a pharmacy in Tropical Plaza, where they had been holed up for almost an hour. But even after the police managed to take the young men from the Monarch Pharmacy, one of the three was hit with a stone, forcing officers to fire tear gas on the crowd which included men, women, teenagers and small children. The approximately 2,000 people gathered outside the Kingston pharmacy hurled insults at the three men, with some calling for them to be killed.
The crowd grew larger as the minutes ticked by and the three men and staff inside the pharmacy were visibly terrified as the mob demanded that they be sent out so they could administer their brand of justice. "Send them out!" shouted one man. The men, who all had bleached-out faces, and dressed in tight jeans pants and skimpy shirts, were saved due to quick action by police from the St Andrew Central Division.
When the officers arrived and attempted to push the crowd back from the front door of the business place they were greeted with some resistance and when they attempted to escort the men to a police service vehicle, which was parked near to the entrance of the pharmacy, one of the alleged homosexuals was hit on the back of the head with a stone as he flashed a wry smile before attempting to hustle inside the police car.
The cops were forced to disperse the large mob by dispensing tear gas canisters and whisking the men away as the crowd scampered in all directions in an effort to escape the irritating fumes.
One man in the crowd was determined to get a chance to beat them and hurled insults at the police when they drove out of the premises. "Unu can come save them nasty boy yah? Them boy yah fi go down," the man bellowed. One woman expressed surprise at the brazenness of the men who were clearly displaying effeminate behaviour.
"Jamaica has lost its way if men think they can openly flaunt being gay without any consequences. We don't want that kind of open gay life in this country," the woman said. Homosexuality is frowned upon in Jamaica and gay rights groups have constantly branded the island as anti-gay.
Under Jamaican law a male can be slapped with a sentence of up to nine years if caught in a compromising position with another man. http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/news/html/20070214T220000-0500_119155_OBS_COPS_SAVE_THREE_ALLEGED_HOMOSEXUALS_FROM_ANGRY_CROWD.asp

DEARBRITCH '1st lady of the ghetto' Trip hop cabaret. A fusion of the music of Andy Huxley (formerly 80's Matchbox) and cabaret diva vocals of Stuart Flynn.
Spirit of Gravity, Marlborough Theatre, Brighton, Tuesday 22nd August We were promised an across the board feast of Electronica, Jazztronica and Gaytronica. Well, what a great show: Britch - And possibly the only person who could follow that, Britch, did a turn that was informative, hilarious and something entirely different. The curtains closed and opened again and DearBritch read from his Sindy annual, played some songs, allowed us to admire his jumper (mmm, nice appliqué), told some jokes and gave us some anatomical analogies to the fringe of the stage curtain. The music is brutal, harsh sounds, disjointed bass drums and distorted reversed voices. Over this delirium he sings (what a strong voice, too) and rhymes and puns. During the penultimate "Bi" (Curious) the curtains were again bought into play (Bye) and one last song and he's off.
DearBritch :_"Queer R'n'B Trip-Hop Cabaret: the 1st Lady of the Ghetto and the ongoing electronica outreach project "_DearBritch has been known to single-handedly bring off an audience; top (and bottom) some of The Bill, and was first coined on a toilet in Kemptown. - Not big and not clever, but oh-so, so much more. Britch: (n,vb,adj, pron.) British, Brash, Butch, Brutalish Bitch. Life is the performance, but it's the strength of DearBritch which creates the show, dividing bit parts (the audience) from the lead (DearBritch). Seeing is still not enough to warrant believing; but believe you must because it's there, so deal with it, deal with DearBritch; find a part of yourself in DearBritch, you won't be the first and you won't be the last. DearBritch drinks Laurent Perrier Rosé Champagne, is fuelled by jewels and collects paintings by Ukrainian artist Victor Romaniuk. DearBritch doesn't drive, DearBritch is driven. .. Can turn a billowing curtain into a drape in a single moment, devastating hysteria into value creation; a homeboy to a homo... Dear, DearBritch, what do you think? "As I say myself: sometimes its hard being a savior, no-one understands the demands."

BRITISH CHRISTIANS PROTEST GAY RIGHTS by: THOMAS WAGNER, The Associated Press
LONDON -- Christian activists submitted a petition to Queen Elizabeth II on Tuesday protesting a gay rights law that they contend will force them to promote and condone gay sex.
The activists, who said such laws violate Biblical teaching, held a candlelit vigil outside Parliament as the House of Lords debated the new law Tuesday night. The body voted 199-68 against a motion calling for the regulation to be scrapped.
The section of the Equality Act 2006 banning businesses from discriminating against gay people in the provision of goods and services took effect in Northern Ireland on Jan. 1 and is scheduled to be introduced in England, Wales and Scotland in April.
In March, Britain's High Court will hear an attempt by a Christian group, the Christian Institute, to overturn the legislation.
Andrea Minichello Williams, a protest organizer, said the petition submitted to Buckingham Palace was signed by 10,000 Christians and urged the monarch to use her ''power and position'' to demand that the government protect the freedom of Christians to live according to the Bible's teaching.
The queen is the titular head of state in Britain and supreme governor of the Church of England, but she has no binding powers on either front.
''The regulations will force Christians to facilitate and encourage the practice of homosexual relationships and will force them to support the view that homosexual relationships are equivalent in worth and moral standing to heterosexual relationships, '' said a copy of the petition provided to The Associated Press.
The law makes it a crime for hotels and other businesses to refuse to rent rooms to homosexuals and for churches to deny use of their halls for civil union ceremonies for gay couples. Gay business owners are barred from deny services to heterosexual couples.
Some black churches have said pastors and churchgoers will go to jail rather than open their meeting halls to gay groups. Roman Catholic adoption agencies have said they fear they may be forced to allow gay couples to adopt.

You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.
Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes.
You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them.
You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be.
