Chris Gavin is well known in France as the label boss for the Red Hammer record label.  Chris has also been licensed to several compilations and TV programs, including « fashion TV 2005 » in France.  His music, which can be described as a large panel of progressive house, has been found in the track-listings of superstar Djs and artists such as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, RPO, Chloe Harris, Harry lemon, Terry Grant, Amine Edge, Darin Epsilon, V-Sag, 2 Rare People, Kintar & Rex, PQM, Abyss, Fred Numf, Sonic Union, Alex Millan, Joee Cons, just to name a few......The Deep Breath EP enjoys similar support.  Blurring the lines between progressive and dark edged techno, Chris Gavin & partner Tony Hell turn in a thumping 3 track EP that surely has something for everyone.

On remix duties is Frenchman Amine Edge.  This man is hardly a stranger to the scene.  He has been licensed to such compilations as Balance 13, and regularly enjoys support from John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Chloe Harris and more.  In 2007 he launched 2 great and recognized labels: "Home's Art Music" & "Brown Eyed Boyz Records".  His labels have signed  such up and coming artists like Add 2 Basket, Sam Ball, Steve Mill, Neil Quigley, King Roc, Michael Cassette, Gold Ryan, Logiztik Sounds, Paul Keeley, Claes Rosen, and Chloè Harris. Just recently, Amine did work for the Anjuna beats team for the classic "A Sort of Homecoming" by Paul Keeley.  For the "Deep Breath" EP, Amine turns in a tough techy edged progressive remix that is sure to land its way into Dj bags everywhere.

Evrydaydowners Split Up And Are No Longer Affiliated With Pangea

During the Winter Music Conference of 2007, The Maji (Billy Vines) and Samer parted ways because of certain actions taken by the Maji and others.  We announced this on our website, but the fate of the Evrydaydowners remained in the air.

We now announced that Samer is no longer part of the Evrydaydowners, who in the past made waves in the progressive music genre with their songs and remixes.

This came about because we at Pangea recently learned that The Maji and a person named Marc Anthony had started to call themselves the "Evrydaydowners" without seeking the permission of Samer.  Rather than fight them about it, Samer decided to let them do their thing and to produced under his own name.

We want to make it clear: The Maji and March Anthony have absolutely nothing to do with Pangea Recordings.  True, The Maji once made music with Samer under the Evrydaydowners name, but this has not been the case since 2007.  As far as Marc Anthony, he has NEVER had any affiliation with Pangea whatsoever, even though he is known to say that he does. In fact, Samer has only met Marc once, during the Winter Music Conference of 2007, and he was part of the actions that created the problems and reasons why Evrydaydowners had split up in the first place.

Any statement by either Marc Anthony or The Maji or the new "Evrydaydowners" that they are affiliated with Pangea is false and misleading.  Based on our own experience, It is our recommendation to you to deal with these two people at your own peril.  I have already received emails from artists claiming that these two are taking songs that are not theirs and claiming them as their own.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to clear this matter.  Expect great songs from DJ Samer later in the year as he takes off from DJing to create lots of good original music.

The ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL (UMF) has confirmed the final line-up for the 11th edition. The world's leading two-day electronic and alternative music experience--set for Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28 during the Winter Music Conference in Miami--is excited to announce The Black Eyed Peas have been added to Friday's Main Stage With worldwide sales in excess of 26 million units and a total of 11 Grammy Award nominations with three wins, The Black Eyed Peas--will. i. am, Fergie, apl. de. ap and Taboo--are set to perform in support of their new album out June 9 titled The E.N.D.--their first original new album since 2005's Monkey Business which sold over four million copies in the U.S. and more than nine million copies worldwide. 


Other performers added to the UMF line-up include MSTRKRFT--whose highly anticipated sophomore album Fist of God comes out March 17 and will make their television debut on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show on March 18--Shiny Toy Guns, Josh Wink, Stanton Warriors, Heidi, The Bloody Beetroots, Riton, Rye Rye, La Riots, Goldfish, main stage visual artist VJv2 Vello Virkhaus and more. Seasonal Findings is on the world renowned Danceradio.gr every first Monday of the month starting at 23:00 p.m.- 0:00 a.m. (11:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.) Greek time (Greece is GMT+3) or 4:00 p.m. EST. Danceradio.gr has some of the biggest Djs in the world as residents, such as John Digweed, Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox, Sultan, and many more. This month's tracklist is below.

Glide "Trapeze" EP (Part 1) with Original, Francesco Pico, and Kotoswitch Mixes Available Now on Beatport

If you heard the latest Nick Warren Global Underground CD from Lima, Glide will be no stranger. His unique sound borrows from all styles to create songs with both energy and depth. Our first release of the 2009, the "Trapeze" EP, is no exception.
The Original Mix is an energetic and epic rocker that is perfect for peak time play or to transition into the epic part of your club set. Highlighted by a heavy bass line, crazy synths and beautiful pads, it is sure move the dance floor into a frenzy and deliver a proper heads down moment during the break down.
We went all out for the remixes. Heavy weight Francesco Pico, label boss of Magnitude Recordings and artist for labels such as Global Underground, Extrema, and Outside the Box, delivers a deep and beatiful rendition of the Original mix that showcases why Francesco has become so renowned in such a short period of time. Kotoswitch, a relative newcomer to the scene from Thailand, but not short on talent, delivers an energy packed remix that takes the Original into darker territory. "Carbon," which is also included in the EP, is a mold of tech, minimal and progressive that highlights the creativity and ingenutiy that Glide has become known for in his music.
Finally, Part 2 will feature remixes from the legendary Thomas Penton under his Stripwalker guise and MaRLo. Stay tuned!

Francesco Pico's tunes are supported by Sasha (featured on Sasha's Live Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1), John Digweed, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Chloe Harris, Laurent Garnier, Marcelo Castelli, Chris Cargo, Eelke Kleijn and more...Francesco has also been featured on CD compilations such as GU Afterhours IBIZA, Armada Ibiza Summer 2008 Mixed by DJ Remy, Jimmy Van M's Balance CD 10, and Global Underground's GU Music 5 years. Francesco has also been in the Beatport top sales charts.

Thailand's Kotoswitch, a relative newcomer to the scene but not short on talent, delivers an energy packed remix that takes the Original into darker territory. Kotoswitch has done work for labels such as Thomas Penton's Electric Candy Recordings.

Glide's "Carbon," which is also included in the EP, is a mold of tech, minimal and progressive that highlights the creativity and ingenuity that Glide has become known for in his music.

The ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL (UMF) has confirmed the final line-up for the 11th edition. The world's leading two-day electronic and alternative music experience--set for Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28 during the Winter Music Conference in Miami--is excited to announce The Black Eyed Peas have been added to Friday's Main Stage With worldwide sales in excess of 26 million units and a total of 11 Grammy Award nominations with three wins, The Black Eyed Peas--will. i. am, Fergie, apl. de. ap and Taboo--are set to perform in support of their new album out June 9 titled The E.N.D.--their first original new album since 2005's Monkey Business which sold over four million copies in the U.S. and more than nine million copies worldwide. 


Other performers added to the UMF line-up include MSTRKRFT--whose highly anticipated sophomore album Fist of God comes out March 17 and will make their television debut on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show on March 18--Shiny Toy Guns, Josh Wink, Stanton Warriors, Heidi, The Bloody Beetroots, Riton, Rye Rye, La Riots, Goldfish, main stage visual artist VJv2 Vello Virkhaus and more. BT will also perform exclusively at UMF with two unique sets; a live set Friday and his laptop symphony Saturday. Sneaky Sound System's recently announced set will include their hit single "I Love It" which holds the record for the longest charting single in their home country of Australia. In addition to the new talent, previously announced artist Booka Shade has been moved to Saturday's main stage line-up for a special sunset performance.
