Well, the wonderful and snowy Get Going tour with Alina Simone officially finished up on Sunday night at Pianos in NYC. It was a great time, mostly spent with Alina and me listening to and talking about the greatness of Mahalia Jackson and the Lomax collection.

Highlights of the tour include:

- Cowboy Matt from Wocester's Java Hut. Hey Coyboy Matt! Thanks for the sandwich.

- Strange Maine's enforced intimacy and excellent selection of zines and old vhs LPs

- Susan's Fish Restaurant in Portland, ME, where a sign informs that "You catch it, clean it, and we will cook it for $5 per pound."

- Being packed like a sardine into Nadav's house show in Cambridge, MA. I love sardines.
