Bucket Of Shrimpears are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our great friend and guitar player Ric Pringle. Ric's laughter and great sense of humour, as well as his fine guitar playing will be truly missed. Albert

Friday night I had an opening gig with Molly, Alex and Jeff of the band Tamarack. It was a fun gig with a small intimate crowd at the Rails End Gallery. It is easy to tell they have been together for a lot of years, the music was very enjoyable and being someone who didn't fare to well in school it was fun to get some of Alex's history lessons. Bazza, Joe and Chris backed me up with some cool rhythms. Truely a treat, Thanks to all involved. Albert Shrimp

We Shrimpears have recently gotten three of our songs into a Janis Cole documentary. The doc is on a young women named Marnie who was tragically killed by the pig farmer in British Columbia. We are not shure when it will be finished but are looking forward to the end product as Janis is a top notch documentarist. Two of the songs Highway Run and Over my Head are on our Cd Hillbilly Savant. The bed tracks for the other song called Marnie have been recorded at Haggarty sound in Peterborough and will eventually be on the next Shrimp Ears CD called Milk. Albert Shrimp

I had the pleasure last night of opening up for the John and Michele, better known as The Laws. After 3 weeks of rehersal with Dave Fougere and April Gates, we pulled of a very cool sounding set that I just loved. The Laws were great, Johns guitar and mandolin work was hot, and the vocal harmonies and song writing, were second to none. If you get a chance check these folks out, because as well as all the talent, there really nice people. Thanks to The Laws, And The Haliburton Folk Society for the opportunity. Albert Shrimp

The Shrimp Ears had a great time at the Kaleidoscope Festival on the weekend. Our gig at Tracey's got rained out so we headed down a day early. The people and hospitality we're second to none.We played a two hour concert on Sunday night, everybody really got into the band. We had a blast, and invite the drummers to join us on stage to form the world's largest congajembebilly band. The Shrimp Ears would like to Thank Pamela, and all the other cool folks for the great time. Albert Shrimp
