Paddy Rock Radio listeners,

I first off want to thank you for helping me quality check our new streaming player that I have been testing through Ustream.tv.... Got the idea from Enter The Haggis with their video streams on the road.... So... in turn I will be doing the same thing in a sense...

Streaming the radio show, music videos, and soon.... streaming LIVE gigs of some of your favorite bands from throughout the world.

So, as I have been having issues with the player shutting down on me from time to time.... something to do with a firewall issue/adobe player update... etc.... so hopefully I've fixed all that crazy stuff.... and today I will be testing the player to see how long it will stay live while I'm working downtown at my other job.

The biggest question that has been coming it has been.... Who the hell is playing, what song is this... etc... well... this is a live streaming show... and until I can get the script program together that will display the info of ever song that is playing live on the site... it's gonna be a game for you... lol... in other words... enjoy the tunes right now... and leave your trivia questions at home until the playlist display is added to the site. lol..>

This was brought to my attention from the Southside Chicago Celt-Punk band the Fisticuffs!! This band is one of the best in Chicago for Celt-Punk... and is played regularly on PaddyRock.com

As some of you may have heard our beloved bearded bass rocking brother Brandon is parting ways with the Ol' Cuffs'.  No crazy fights or anything but Brandon has a pint sized little rocker at home named Jameson (awesome name for a kid) and it's time for  him to spend a little more time playing daddy and a little less playing Irish Punk.  We're gonna miss him like mad but we 've got to keep pressing onward.  This means of course that we'll be auditioning new bass players, if you're interested here's what you need to keep in mind.  You MUST be at least 21 years of age, you MUST live in the South Chicagoland area or at least be willing to travel to it.  You MUST be available for rehearsal 2-3 nights a week and be able to gig on weekends both in Chicago and out of state.

   If you think you're the man or woman for the job send us a message and we'd love to jam.  we're just finishing up the writing process for our third CD and are in the midst of planning a ten day tour in March, so good stuff is on the way.

I'm working on new stuff for the site over this past week including a interview with a couple bands that are in the mix as we speak. I hope to have everything up by Friday July 31, 2009 with a new podcast with a ton of new music and I will be introducing a BATTLE OF THE BANDS kind of thing that will be bringing you the fans to get involved with the voting on the site with your votes with your comments!!

I am putting the article up on the Irish American Heritage Festival late tonight because of all the media that will be going with it!! Look for it to go up at Midnight tonight though however.... because I just got back from the pub... lol

It will have audio, video, pictures, and my recap on what this fest is all about... and who was there this year that caught my attention.

It you have been stopping by the PaddyRock.com site as of late and noticed that we have been lacking in our coverage of photos from shows here in Chicago... well... it's much to do that my Digital camera was stolen.

I am getting excited for the Irish American Heritage Festival coming up from July 10-12th here in the city of Chicago. Tons of great music being played by bands like The Tossers, The Sandcarvers, Gaelic Storm, Kevin Flynn & the Avondale Ramblers, The Mickey Finns, The Larkin and Moran Brothers, Screaming Orphans, and more....
