An old friend wrote to tell us that she recently read that "baanzi" means "one who knows the other world" in the language of Gabon in relation to the experience conferred by the plant substance iboga.

They loaded a coffin onto our plane. We felt something present... something was happening but we didn't understand what and will never understand why. We flew out of Madrid just around the time the other plane crashed, August 20th, 2008.
Our hearts go out to all those who lost family members, friends or suffered losses. What a terrible tragedy. We are so very sorry. Why, why, why....

Got to see many old and dear friends here as well as make some new ones.
We had some fun interviews on Radio Nacional de Espana listen for us in English, Spanish & Arabic.

We will be recording a new cd as soon as Julia can walk (she broke her ankle and had to get up on stage in crutches) (ow!)

Thank you for all your support. We feel so blessed to be able to contribute to making this world a better place... even if only in small ways and places.

Have not had time to check in to say hello to you all.
We are in beautiful Tangier now.

Had a wonderful time connecting with the folks in Itta Bena, at Mississippi Valley State University and in Cleveland at Delta State University.

We went on to Syracuse, NY and played in the Adams Family house and met with a great bunch of people as well.

Just got into Madrid last night. Still a bit sleepy. We will be in Cordoba this weekend.
