Current mood: catalyzed
Do you like the music your family listens to?
It depends, but my parents don't really "throw down". I'll say no, only because they lean toward the country side.
Is music a big part of your life?
Has been for awhile. I don't expect that to change anytime soon.
Last song you sang out loud?
either "New Rose" or "Fish" by the Damned, cause my windows were down.
Do you play air guitar when jamming out?
I've been known to shred, but I like playing bass.
Who was your 1st favorite band as a kid?
I told my pen pal in third grade my favorite musician was Michael Jackson. Even though I've never bought any of his albums. He lived in Cleveland.
Ever had a song that make you think of an ex?
Um, "Jane Says". By Jane's Addiction. I'm not abusive, ladies, don't worry.
Do you know your parents wedding song?
I think it was either something by Lee Greenwood or Christopher Cross.
What CD is in your car CD player?
The Damned, 'Damned Damned Damned'. Next time I get in the 626.... probably Fugazi. Maybe 'Steady Diet of Nothing'.
When was the last time you burned a music CD?
It's been awhile, I've been making tapes for people lately. If you want one, let me know. I'll hook you up.
Do you sing in the shower?
Sometimes. Usually Beastie Boys.
Have you ever sung in front of an audience?
Yep. Dick Van and the Dykes are the greatest band you've never seen or heard. Unless you came to our one show.
Have you ever been the singer while playing Rock Band?
I tried, but they want you to actually hit notes.
What is your mom's favorite genre of music?
She loves Jim Croce.
What is your favorite song by the Beatles?.... 'Octopus' Garden'.
Do you save your ticket stubs from concerts?
Unless I lose them.
How many songs do you have on your iPod?
20,523. Constantly in flux.
Does the music you listen to change with your moods?
Yep. Because it's how I feel? Right, and I project their art to my ears... which responds in a positive or negative manner. Then I decide whether or not it's shit.
What are your favorite lyrics from a song?
Lately, I've had the Ramones 'I Believe in Miracles' running through my head.
Do you pay for your songs or steal them?
I try to buy albums I actually like (maybe even love), but sometimes the gods of back catalogue just shit in your salad.
What kind of iPod do you own?
120 GB. iChabod Jr
If not, what kind of iPod would you like to own?
one with unlimited space?
Define the term: Boyband? RE: all my favorites!
Semi-good looking dudes are spotted (somewhere), thrust into the limelight to thrust teenage girls (some males, too) into submission.
What's the farthest you've traveled to go to a concert?
Tennessee. Dude, I'm on the edge.
Do your friends listen to the same music you do?
It's weird, I feel like I'm the critic of the group, so everyone filters all their stuff through me, which is weird, cause I don't give a crap what you listen to as long as you enjoy it. I am tired of these 'indie' kids with their acoustic guitars, acting like an amplifier costs an exorbitant amount of money.
Wait, what was the question?
Oh, some of my friends like noise. A lot of them don't.
Do you watch American Idol?
no, should I?
Can you play an instrument?
I'm playing bass. Not right now, but that'd be talent!
Ever sing karaoke?
Bob Seger and Elton John.
Have you ever been to a concert you did not enjoy?
Dude, Fountains of Wayne.... went on live...
BEFORE WEEN? wtf, mate.
It was cool though, we (the crowd) upset them with our chants for the mighty Boognish!
Have you been to a musical?
I watched Rocky Horror.
Who is better: Nsync or Backstreet Boys?
LFO
John Mayer or Jack Johnson?
Miles Davis - 'A Tribute to Jack Johnson'
Garth Brooks or George Strait?
George Strait, because he wrote "All My Exes Live in Texas"
Fall Out Boy or Panic! At the Disco?
They're both so talented, how could I possibly choose?
Elvis or The Beatles?
Elvis is the King, even dying on his throne.
Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake?
whoa. this is a lot tougher than it should be.
Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus?
Miley is the bonafide Antichrist, and the Jonas Brothers? they're supposed to 'rock', right? At least they play their own instruments.
Like Hanson!
Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston?
Whitney, because "crack is whack... crack is cheap."
This or that:
Country or Rock?
well, rocks can hurt, and the country is quite beautiful.
zing!
Rock or Rap?
Rock, unless you catch me in the hood.
Emo or Punk?
Punk rock actually DID change my life.
Thanks SST records!
Oldies or Country?
Isn't this really one thing? Inseparable, right? Like me and iChabod Jr
Latino or Disco?
'Disco Volante'

this was a lot harder than it should have been. I originally wanted to list 10, but realized that I haven't heard 10 albums from this year.
Out-of-touch old hipster douche? That's me.
At 20.
And yes, I realize it still says Top-10.
suck it.

Hello, do you like rock n roll? I do. The Witz are trying to save rock n roll. All you need is love and a little soul. I'm not paid for any of this, I just like rock n roll.
On another note, I'm traveling to Fabulous Russ Vegas this Saturday (after work, so I'll arrive around midnight? The Sunday paper won't put itself out!). I'm excited. because it's the first time I drive to Russ Vegas myself, and not for any social function other than kicking it like a true g. "Myself" is the key word, since the Mazda 626 will lose it's highway cherry under my belt. Also, I can listen to The Fall and Ramones all I want because it's just me! And my stereo!
Maybe I'll get real crazy and listen to AC/DC.
The Bon-era, of course.

Current mood: enthralled
Art rock can be the most pretentious music in the world, but that doesn't matter when they kick as much ass as The Who used to. I'll admit, they're not as intimidating past 60 years old, but Pete Townshend is THE MAN.
'The Who Sell Out'? 'Tommy'? "Art rock" through and through, but not without a sense of humor or dedication. 'A Quick One' has a cover that's pop art, for crying out loud!
Pure rock and roll? 'Live at Leeds'. Enough said. Greatest live album ever, believe it.
Oh yeah, the whole point behind this...
'The Ox' is a MUCH better song than 'Sister Ray'. Has insane drumming, stellar bass (GO OX GO!), and has um, a point. And noise, pre-noise days. 'Sister Ray' is... bloated.
'The Ox' is NOT a better song than 'I'm Waiting for the Man', or 'I'll Be Your Mirror', but mainly because that melody is so damn pretty.

"I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center. " "Who is more to be pitied, a writer bound and gagged by policemen or one living in perfect freedom who has nothing more to say?" Everything is supposed to be very quiet after a massacre, and it always is, except for the birds. And what do the birds say? All there is to say about a massacre, "Poo-tee-weet?"

[this is for those kids that are 'weird', and 'not normal' (maybe they say unique?). anyway, you know the kind; Slipknot t-shirt, the latest Evanescence single playing on the mp3, and of course.. Converse, with frilly laces. maybe some perfectly clean checkerboxed Vans?]
The phone is ringing. ringing in my mind, my heart is wringing Since you don't love me anymore, But maybe you never did? My voice cries out, my tears cry out, for your love, your touch, our passion. Can we? Someday.. be one? and the same?
SEE!
IT'S JUST THAT SIMPLE!
SHITTY POETRY FOR THE MASSES!!
