Just to let you know that our gig at the Monto Water Rats is to be filmed for an upcoming programme for BBC 3.  Details to follow.

We're really excited about it as we love the venue anyway and we're hoping for a really strong turnout  - so we're offering a reduced ticket price of £5 with a flyer.

Directions:

Tube: Nearest Tube is Kings Cross. Exit the tube Station via the Gray's Inn Road Exit. Walk up the steps and past the Bureau de Change on your right. Follow the road as it curves to the right, but cross over to the left hand side.

The venue is a couple of minutes walk, just past the Hospital. Live music usually finishes by 11pm Monday to Thursday so it's easy to catch a late train home. On Friday and Saturday we are open till the early hours of the morning.

There's also a Thameslink overground train to King's Cross

By Bus: The following buses go to / from King's Cross. 10, 17, 30, 45, 46, 63, 73, 91, 214, 259, SL1, SL2, N73, N91, and N279.

By Car: Parking is ample after 8pm, get on the one way system (Grays Inn Road runs towards Kings Cross).

For those of you who are attending the Sony Ericsson 'Run to the Beat' Marathon taking place in London this Sunday, we have been selected to play Stage 1: The O2 Stage. 

Slot time is 11.15 – 11.45am

Please note the 02 stage is the course start AND finish – so please join us in doing our bit to urge the runner's home as they begin to cross the finish line!

Hi everyone,

Congratulations are in order for The Velcros! We have been selected as the regional finalist for London for this year's BT Battle of the Bands competition! This means we are one step nearer to securing a place on the main stage at this year's Isle of Wight Festival in association with BT.  Headliners are The Police.

The final will take place this Saturday on the 31st May at the top of the BT Tower, Central London.

Be sure to wish us luck!!!!!!!!!

Tickets are now available for our gig at The Clapham Grand on Thursday 8th May.  Tickets are £6, so please drop us a line to get yours.

The famous Victorian theatre marks our biggest show to date so we’re really excited and want to fill it with all our friends and fans.  Everyone who’s ever been to see us before are all invited to rock the place out and we promise a suitably powerful performance from the band. 

Other bands on the bill include The Special Ks and Moral Soul.

We’ll be flying out to sunny Silema, Malta to headline the Malta Music Marathon, commencing on Friday 25th to Sunday 27th April.

The three day event is a yearly charity event with all donations going to the worldwide Eden Foundation.  The band will play a headline slot with a local ’warm up’ gig expected to be confirmed as well as an acoustic performance by Alison on the Sunday. 

We’ll be sure to post pics of all the fun in the sun so keep a look out for those...

Our gig at the Purple Turtle (11th Feb) was filmed exclusively for a nationwide MTV competition and we’re expecting an announcement on when it’s to be aired any day now...

The MTV crew followed us around for the whole day filming us as we hung out in and around Camden prior to the show - doing interviews, TV spots etc...They then filmed 3 songs from the show - with Half a Biscuit chosen to be the lead video - so keep your eyes peeled and you’ll soon see us on rotation on MTV!

The competition started with 100 top unsigned bands and now we’re down to the final 25! The crew travelled all around the UK and Ireland filming each of the bands left and are currently editing the footage together.  The performances will then be viewed by a top panel of industry execs and the best 10 bands will go into the next stage of the competition. 

We know already that the final stage is to be filmed at MTV studio no.1 infront of a big live audience so please cross your fingers and get behind us and hopefully we can make it all the way!
