Tonight, We went out to the Nashville Palace. They were having a benefit for my dear friend Mel McDaniel. I am glad to report that Mel is at home and doing a lot better and going thru rehabilitation. We are still praying for Mel and his dear family! This was a night of Country Music Heaven. We laughed and talked with Nancy Jones who is always a beautiful lady. Mel Tillis, my friend it was great to laugh and talk with you! Little Jimmy Dickens, Jimmy C. Newman, John Conlee, Jean Shephard, Jeannie Seely, Ricky Skaggs and The Whites....What great music and just the laughter and the stories reminds me of what a close family Country Music really is but now to the highlight of the night! Tommy Cash and his lovely wife Marcy were there and Tommy and Bob went on stage together to do Ring of Fire. It was awesome! Bob and Tommy rocked the house! It was great music for a great cause. This is what makes Country Music so very special. It truly is one big family!

We made it back safe and sound to Nashville. The tour was great! We want to thank The Rev Room, Knuckleheads, The Broiler Room and The Cross Country Timber Opry for making the shows awesome. We ran into some dear friends Doug Eggburn in Little Rock and were very glad to see him. It had been a while. The fans at Knuckleheads are always great and exciting. TEXAS, what can I say....You made our trip. Thank all of you for turning out for the show and having such a great time. We look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
Now, for those of you who do not know about TWITTER I want you to learn. This is great and The Tennessee Three keep you posted on our every move when we are on the road. Sign up and follow us and lets have some fun!
One more quick note. The TN3 came out with a secret weapon this past week-end. Her name is Montana! She won the hearts of everyone. Montana wanted me to personally thank everyone for all the kindness they showed her and the words of encouragment that you gave her.
We love all of you. TN3 fans are the very best because they become friends!

This afternoon I watched a major superstar in this business make time for a very big fan. Taylor Swift was on location today shooting a new video. There was a young lady there who has bought both CD's, bought a shirt from Taylor with an autograph around 2 years ago and really thinks Taylor hung the moon. I watched this kid and kept thinking I hope that Taylor will not be like so many entertainers and hurt her feelings. Many times when you meet people they are not what they appear to be on t.v. I watched Taylor run out of a room and throw both arms around this kid and talk to her like they were the best of friends. I was totally amazed at how comfortable she made this young girl feel. In that instant I too became a die hard Taylor Swift fan. Taylor, thank you for making that little ladies day! By the way, That young lady was my daughter Montana! Bob Wootton

Today I recieved an email that was very sad to me. I was told the Grand Ole Opry had been sold and was leaving Nashville. I don't understand this at all! What is Nashville, Tennessee without The Grand Ole Opry? It seems to me the music business at least the Country Music Business has lost it's soul. I have nothing against young artists or the music of today but I have a problem with doing away with the people and the music that provided them with the stage they have today. If this rumor is true, I am very upset. This was done very secretly and obviously behind closed doors. Gaylord and Nashville you have stepped on the very business that helped make you what you are and I promise you what goes around comes around. I was told the Opry is moving to Fort Worth Texas. If that is the Case.....God Bless you Fort Worth and The Tennessee THree will do all they can to support you!

Tonight Vicky and I took our daughter Montana to see "The Jonas Brother". I was amazed that I was only 1 of 3 fathers there with their daughters. I found the movie entertaining and the music good. There is no doubt these three young men are talented. The thing I loved most was hanging out with my family. So, Jonas Brothers thank you for an entertaining evening and the opportunity to know my daughter a little bit better.

This morning I was flipping the t.v. and ran across "The Wilburn Brothers Show" on RFD. The special guest was Mother Maybelle and Sara Carter. There was no one else just these two ladies. Mother Maybelle on guitar and Sara was playing autoharp. I couldn't help but think about the trail these two ladies blazed but seem to get forgotten about by most of todays young women. Now while they were up in years on this show the talent was undisputable. The timing, the wrist, the pitch of vocals, everything was plain raw talent. There was no big production.....just talent. I am NOT knocking any artists and especially not the youth in the business. I am just saying sometimes we should step back and enjoy what it really meant to be an artist and a pioneer. When we didn't have million dollar tours, voice boxes, lights and production but had a genuine love for the music. While I had the privilege of working with Mother Maybelles daughters I never had the honor of meeting her. I am so glad I turned on to that show. This is the way it is suppose to be. Young ladies I am proud of the accomplishments you make in this business but please never forget before you .....There was MOTHER MAYBELLE AND SARA CARTER. Take a look and a listen sometime. Johnny Cash would say in every show "I reflect back on where I've been so I don't lose sight of where I'm going". Today was a good day for reflection! Vicky
