Sad news on the Cheese Puffs front: the incomparable Hollis Hawthorne aka Gub'ment Cheese, one of our founding members and choreographers, was in a serious motorcycle accident in India and is in a coma. Stanford University has offered to treat her for free, but we have to raise $200,000 in order to transport her there. Right now, we're looking for prayers, donations, and help putting together fundraisers. Please check out http://www.friendsofhollis.blogspot.com and http://www.helpholligethome.blogspot.com for the full story, more information on this amazing human, and more ways to help out. Also see the blog post on the SF Bay Guardian's site, at http://www.sfbg.com/blogs/politics/2009/03/call_for_help_sf_artist_in_com.html. Or just check out our photos and video on this page and send her good vibes. The Cheese Puffs are cheesier with Hollis here!

As many of you know, we performed at the big monthly Hubba Hubba Revue show at DNA Lounge a few weeks ago. What an honor! The show was incredible, as always, thanks to fantastically creative and talented performers, an astounding amount of organization, and Kingfish and Eddie's awesome MCing to tie it all together. We can't wait to do it again! Which we will be, by the way, on August 15. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, here are some links to the night's event …

Hey folks! We Puffs are recovering from yet another great performance: the Black & Black Ball, where we debuted not one, but TWO new numbers! In just a week, we managed to make cheesy dancing goodness out of RC's "Rockin' the Casbah" and a "Relax"/"Personal Jesus" medley. Now it's time to rest up for the remainder of the summer, right? Wrong! Instead, we're getting ready for our show at the DeYoung Museum on June 20, where we'll don Stormy Leather corsets inspired by the colors of Chihuly's glass art. And then we'll prepare for our show in Portland on June 29. And it doesn't stop there. We'll have a brand new dance for Hubba Hubba Revue on July 18, and something nice and bloody for Creepshow Peepshow in August. We can't wait! Speaking of waiting, you don't have to wait to see us live. Just check out the video below, taken by our dear friend Dex at Bimbo's when we opened for Dick himself. Enjoy! In cheesy goodness, Miss Molly Mozzarella

Wow! What a weekend. We're all still recovering from Saturday night, when we opened for Richard Cheese to a screaming crowd of 600 people at Bimbo's in SF. Who would've thought, when we formed two months ago, we'd already be here? It's hard to explain how happy we were about the show. Dick and his entourage were helpful, friendly, and accomodating - especially Jen and the woman who helped with our sound whose name I can't remember but who was AWESOME. We had an actual dressing room with actual lights and mirrors. We were given plenty of time to adapt our show to the space we had on the stage (which was smaller than we though, and which worked out much better than we expected). And somehow, the alchemy of all that came together in just such a way that we performed our best damn show ever. A special thanks to the audience, who were our most enthusiastic yet.
We can't wait to collaborate further with Mr. Cheese!
We'll have video and photos from the show, just as soon as we all get rested and regain the feeling in our legs. (YOU try dancing in heels for 3 hours.) And stay tuned for info about our show at DNA Lounge on Saturday night, where we'll debut two new dances!
Thanks to everyone who helped make this show possible. And to those new fans who don't regularly use myspace, send us a message with your email address and we'll put you on the regular mailing list.
Cheese-a-rific,
Miss Molly Mozzarella

Current mood: electric
Hi, cheese heads! I can't express enough how amazing Saturday's Bootie SF show was - definitely worth all the blood, sweat, hot glue blisters, beer hangovers, and sequin burns it took to get there. Thanks to all of you who made it happen, either by working your asses off to learn choreography, coming to watch the show, or cheering us on from afar. We've got plenty more in the works, so stay tuned. This cheese factory's open for business! By the way, we'll have video soon. In the meantime, whet your appetites with our very first photos, over at ovahere.com! Love and limburger, Miss Molly Mozzarella P.S. A huge thanks to Adrian and the Mysterious D of Bootie SF, who hedged their bets on a little girl with a big cheesy dream.
