ASK ME ABOUT.....-BEING ON TOUR-

So, as far as touring goes, I'm pretty much a veteran at this point. I've seen most of the world a few times and performed on the most incredible stages.

Ofcourse, all in preparation for my time to do it on my own as a solo artist. There are several things I've learned a long the way about myself, about people, and about shows. People often ask me about my experiences regarding certain artists or countries...so, this blog post is one you can respond to. Ask me about touring...and I'll respond to your questions...

As you know, I'm on tour right now with estelle and solange. There are also 2 new acts that are support...Hal Linton and Suai....both on Universal Motown. I'm writing you from a 2day bus ride so, I've got plenty of time to respond to your questions....

JAIDEN KIMBERLY NICHOLE UPTOWN UNPLUGGED!!!

Not sure why I haven't written a blog about this yet...but...I've been hosting a weekly open mic jam session in harlem at the den and it's really taken on a lif of its own due to the musicians, singers, food and drinks there. I've had some incredible special guests come rock the mic and sit in with the band...so, if you're in NY on weds evening...make sure you come thru!!! Sing, play, or just chill and watch the show with a drink and the BLAZIN chicken and waffles...LOL

Where the Hell is Jaiden???

What up ya'll!! I Know I just disappeared a bit...I been on tour with estelle and John Legend. It's been a great opportunity and I promise it won't push the album back any!! When I get home I'm gonna finish it up...lol
Nevertheless, if any of you have tickets to the John Legend Tour...look out for ya boy!! Love ya'll and thanks for the support as always...

UPTOWN UNPLUGGED

I've always wanted to have a jam session/open mic where people could come and do there thing...if you know anything about me you know I spend most sundays at village underground. The format of my new show uptown unplugged is similar to that...but just a little more loose. The den has incredible food and drinks. The band is great and my co-host is kimberly nicole who is incredible...definitely come out and expect to have an incredible time...lemme know what songs you wanna hear...or come ready to perform something yourself...either way...just come enjoy the vibe

ELECTION 08

optimistic

I would be playing myself if I didn't do what I could to encourage everyone to get registered and to vote this year. Our lives have all been effected by the current administrations inadequacy. We are all the victims of a government that too often neglects and abuses the very people who it should protect. Our future, the future of our children, and the quality of our lives is in our hands but only if we take advantage of the democratic process. Recognize how much individual power we all have. If you've ever been frustrated with law enforcement, health care, education, gas prices, job opportunity, hell...anything...YOU CAN'T BE MAD IF YOU DON'T VOTE!!
There is a lot of misinformation about voter registration and who is eligible...there are so many incredible resources...don't let anybody tell you wrong info...check it out for yourself. The deadlines for registration differ depending on the state...make sure you beat the deadline.
We can't allow old out of touch people to make decisions for us....Long after their gone we'll be living with the decisions that make.

Alright, enough....I'm off the soap box. JUST REGISTER AND VOTE!! IT'S easy....and will effect sooo many aspects of your life in the coming years.
