Just reiterating that tonight's show will be Babies in Limbo's FINAL performance

Everyone's support throughout our career as Babies in Limbo has been phenomenal. We've been a group who has focused on satiating our own artistic desires rather than catering to a popular aesthetic, and in the end that lust for creative satisfaction was to be our undoing.

Nevertheless, the group who stubbornly refused to pay attention to the crowd now must thank them for their relentless support and all that you've sacrificed for us over the years. It has been truly humbling seeing you all come out time and again to see us play.

Now, if you please, let's make it one last time, for old time's sake.

PS. We're going to fucking KILL IT tonight.

thanks folks///

Hello.

Our dear friends, the Uncanny California Smile have recently completed their debut LP "A Secret Message From Your Teeth". It is phenomenal and you absolutely must own it.

That being said, the group is scheming & plotting a fantastical release party at Firehouse 13 in Providence on 4th Octobre. I do suggest you attend, but it's also possible to procure a copy NOW by contacting the boys themselves.

I suggest you make the effort and do so, as the record is fucking ACE.

That's perplexing.
Adorable plex.

A big THANK YOU ((get it that was bigger)) to all who came out to Tuesday night's Transient Authority gig with _Ebu Gogo. We had a great time, and ¡Ebu!, rapt attttttention drawn:, ripped out our hearts and stuffed them down our //tttthroats to the tuneful mew of a wild stallion. How epic.......////

ANNNNDDDD_D a special apppology to the four lads who were regrettably ((and rather unnecessarily)) ejected from the performance! Well, that's MA for you, no _mmmminors_ and boozey in the same environ......Sorry guys, we were really psyched to have you and WE'LL MAKE IT UP TO YOU somehow, get in touch with us and we'll figure something out!!

We know it's a bit belated, but we were all WAYYYY too hungover Tuesday to do anything about it.

But we just want to send out the biggest, mightiest, and sincerest of THANK YOU'S to EVERYONE who came out to our record release party Monday night. We had an absolutely smashing time and we're pretty sure you did too. It was the biggest event we've had to coordinate in our careers and I can say with the utmost sincerity I was completely blown away by the way the night went off and everyone's reaction. So basically, thanks for making us smile ^_^

PS Another, even BIGGER thank you to Tom Deininger for graciously allowing us the use of his studio to put on this show. Tom is an incredible artistic talent with amazing vision, and I'm sure you can only expect more amazing events of this caliber from him in the future.

Stay classy, San Diego.

Okay guys, time to level. Tomorrow night is gonna be big. Real big. Fucking huge, to be honest. This is the biggest night in the career of Babies in Limbo. And we're treating the night with as much pomp and grandeur as such a thing requires. We've gone all out, the studio looks great, and it's going to be an absolutely KILLER time.

That being said, there's a certain amount of modesty that must be expressed about such an event. Individually, this is the biggest night in the adult lives of the five Babies in Limbo. We've worked incredibly hard to prepare for this night. We're honest and excited about what this night means for us, where we're headed, what we're doing with out lives, and about the fact that we will do anything to make this as successful as possible.

Basically, I'm appealing to anyone who has yet to experience Babies live: THIS IS THE NIGHT TO DO IT. This is the most epic stage setup we've ever had, our entire merch line is debuting, we're premiering 26 minutes (half our set!!) of brand new material, the atmosphere is PERFECT. And the entire thing has been DIY, by the members of Babies in Limbo and a few of our closest friends, including the ever-amazing, generous-Gemini Caleb Fiero.

I'm offering up my apartment as a place to crash for any road-weary travelers who come out, and we have friends within the Babies family doing the same. If anyone needs ANYTHING at ANY TIME related to tomorrow night, you can reach me (connor) at 774 217-3560. I'm going to be running around busy as fuck but I'll definitely answer. Scout's honor.

We'd also like to stress that as part of the positive artistic community aspect of the event, Tom will be accepting donations of canned goods for local shelters. He figures we're going to have a lot of people in one place, so let's see them do a lot of good while we're at it!!!

Ok so that's that!

Surrounded by the epic Tom Deinenger's unimaginable art, this is the biggest thing we've ever done. Mind-blowing artwork, the experimental stylings of BABIES IN LIMBO and CALIFORNIA SMILE, performance art, video projection and the immortal DJ COLIN ROCKTAGON ringing in the new year in a 100% unsanctioned avant-rave nightmare. The debut of the Babies merch line.

This is really where you ought to be this NYE.

Tomorrow we are rising at an hour far earlier than ANY human being should EVER be required to rouse themselves EVER to head to New Alliance and MASTER OUR ALBUM. Huzzah.

This does of course require that we rotate our sleep schedules a bit:

thehumanprojekct (12:51:43 AM): ill go t bed after i slay these hell boars
thehumanprojekct (12:54:12 AM): i need to collect their blood
Schnarflix (12:54:31 AM): to purify the souls of the damned, those who have violated my sacred temple
thehumanprojekct (12:54:44 AM): actually, to turn into cenarion post
thehumanprojekct (12:55:05 AM): the expedition needs blood
Schnarflix (12:55:50 AM): Same basic principle.
Schnarflix (12:55:55 AM): Essentially the same thing.
thehumanprojekct (12:56:22 AM): they are investigating the demonic presence in hellfire peninsula
Schnarflix (12:57:17 AM): How many Hell Boars must ye slay?
thehumanprojekct (12:57:22 AM): about 10
thehumanprojekct (12:57:32 AM): very simple quest

This just in - keep your peepers peeled for some "new treats" on the not-so-distant horizon. Use your head, fruitcake.

GET PUMPED d00dz.
Pleasant dreams.

For the unaware, Radiohead has self-released their new album IN RAINBOWS online. There are two versions available, a deluxe "discbox" version containing CD and vinyl copies as well as extended artwork, and the "download" version, available online.

The catch - pay whatever you want for the download. It comes exactly as a torrent download might, just a .zip file containing lowgrade 160kb Mp3s. No artwork, nothing else.

This is a brilliant move in that it is so polarizing; those who always download low-quality album leaks for free can continue to do so, while those who are passionate about supporting artists, or who wish to purchase the discbox and receive quality artwork, are equally at rights. Radiohead has once again succeeded at artistic brilliance, this time with an innovative market move. This album will not be available at traditional music retailers.

In support of this monumental experiment, I'd like to get a good roundup of people's responses to the free-form pricing of Radiohead's new album In Rainbows. Personally I think it's a brilliant move, and I've been getting a lot of responses both from our bulletin and on my personal account, so I thought getting a proper catalogue was worthwhile.

This is potentially a huge turning point for the music industry as we know it.
There's a semi-official survey at www.whatpricedidyouchoose.com as well. I think it's worth taking a bit of time to fill out. Apparently the average price is about 4 pounds (roughly $8) meaning the band had been "donated" about 4 million pounds (again roughly 8 million USD) in the first 24 hours. Now imagine how much money would have been spent if this album were retailing in stores for $13. And how much of that the band would have made.

I feel this is so relevant for its broad conceptual ramifications. Radiohead intend for this to make us ponder how much music really means to us in an age where we can have anything we want for free. How much we're willing to personally invest in something that can enrich our lives so. Putting it right next to food, gas, the clothing upon our backs. In an interview with pitchforkmedia.com, Johnny Greenwood says: "It's just interesting to make people pause for even a few seconds and think about what music is worth now. I thought it was an interesting thing to ask people to do and compare it to whatever else in their lives they value or don't value."

So let us know. Did you pay $5, $10, nothing? Respond if you torrented/downloaded it away from inrainbows.com as well, I'm just interested.

Thanks!
connor.
