So I've been thinking about it recently and here are my personal fav guitar players:
(in no particular order)
Jimi Hendrix John Mayer Jimmy Page Marcos Curiel (formerly of P.O.D.) Eddie Van Halen The Edge
I don't necessarily think these guys are the best in the world (although some of theme obviously are near the top), but these are my favorite guys to listen to.
Who do ya'll like?
Please respond and drop a comment.

So. This book (see title of this entry if your wondering what book) is awesome. It's one of those things that I've known I needed to read for years. I've always planned to read it. Now I'm forced to read it (for class), but it is a joy to read. It's like reading a well thought out, concise copy of everything you already believe about church. It's like Rick Warren is in my brain.
In a phrase: The.Bomb.com.

Current mood: amused
3 thoughts, maybe 4:
1. 24 church was great this morning; i loved the dave matthews song they began the service with; paintwall was also a ball
2. big chunks of ice are hard to break on a carpeted stage
3. the book "The Emerging Culture: 5 Perspectives" is good and rather philosophical in nature. I just finished reading it. It helped me understand stuff better.
4. Lauren Delee's latest blog is really good; you should go read it.

Here is my one complaint with myspace; although there are several that could be issued. There is no easy way to tweak your page. Xanga allowed users to quickly change background images, text, links, etc. Myspace requires that one know html. Now, I am slightly acquainted with html, but for the life of me I cannot seem to ever get this flippin' page to work without looking real messy/unprofessional. Due to my obsessive complusive tendencies, a messed up looking page is simply not an option. Could someone, anyone, please show me how to change the background color of the whole page, or change it to an image? This would be appreciated. I don't want it to look all jacked up either; I'd just like to have a stinking cool image for my background and change my text color.

Breakfast week 2 was a momentous occasion. My whole apartment still smells like bacon. I wish that we had had a few more people show up (aka my seminary friends), but other than that it rocked.
Today's menu:
bacon
eggs
pancakes
biscuits
Thanks to Gibby and GG for coming and hanging out with me. Hope to see more of you next week feel free to come anytime after 10:30 on Saturday. Free homemade breakfast.
see pic from week 2 in my pictures area.

Current mood: apathetic
So Clay and I set out on another adventure in the realm of concert going. (Kenny and I put forth the challenge of seeing as many shows as possible this year, but only I have really kept the agreement; Clay has taken Kenny's place though.) Prior to a few days before this show, I had never listened to any Hawthorne Heights; Clay and I were simply going to see Emery because they will rock your face off. However, in preparation for a show in which Hawthorne Heights was the headliner, I bought the HH album and became quite a bit of fan. Following the show however, I must make these propositions:
Hawthorne Heights is a pretty good band.
Emery is a better band.
Emery's fans are way better fans.
Also with the help of Clay, I have coined a completely new phrase: "Prepmo" A prepmo is a sorto of emo kid who mixes their style with preppy style. I.E. - every girl at this show who wasn't goth. I'm not complaining by the way, just categorizing.
One more thing to my extremely long post. In retrospect, Christian emo/screamo bands are simply the best. There is absolutely nothing I have found out there anywhere that currently gets close to being as cool as Emery or Underoath. They both stinking rock.

Current mood: bored
I'm thinking about starting a new Saturday morning tradition. What if every Saturday morning, let's say late Saturday morning (after 10 or so), people came to my apartment simply to eat homemade breakfast. I'm personally a fan of good breakfast, and I think the fellowship aspect of this whole fiasco would be the bomb. Imagine 20 or so folks, still in pajamas would be preferable, dropping by and just eating and hanging out together. I personally think it would be the bomb.

We're all in mourning. Mourning my friends, mourning. Not a time of the day, an inescapable feeling of despair due to the lack of a viewing a certain concert. Not that we (by we I mean Corey, myself, Byrdman, Weston, Sean, Gibby, and Kenny Stubbs) haven't ever missed an unbelievable concert before, but our feelings of disheartenment are exacerbated by the fact that a certain group of acquaintances (at this point my feelings of ill will make it hard to call them friends) are at this very concert. The said acquaintance is none other than "Mr. Holla" himself Chris Royalty. Not only is he at the conference of all conferences, but He's watching Lecrae. He wasn't even a huge fan Lecrae, although I assume he is now. Unfair justice. Week to end all weeks this would have been if only we could have been in Grapevine, TX. To all that have ever mourned a sad mourn, I bid you ado.

Has anyone else noticed this? Chris got myspacified and all of a sudden he has the right to be a gangsta. It seems, in my opinion at least, that "Holla" is a gangsta word. Albeit a played out gangsta word from the 80's rap scene. Anyway Chris, we your readers have just one question, "Who are you trying to be with all this holla here, holla there stuff? Is this pent up angst against "the man" that is manifesting itself through 80's rap lingo, are you simply so cool that you can use any phrasology that you please, did Michael Landon come back from the dead and insist you use the word "holla", or have you been listening to to much Easy E and Naughty By Nature?
