Swedish thrashers THE HAUNTED have announced signing a new worldwide deal with
Century Media Records after a successful partnership for the band’s
three last albums (“rEVOLVEr”, “The Dead Eye”, “Versus”).

THE HAUNTED’s Peter Dolving (vocals) comments:
“So once again we've decided to sign with Century Media Records.
It feels good to get continuation, and truly having worked hard on communication on
both ends over these last years, has brought us together in ways that I believe a lot of bands/managements/labels only dream of.
Long term goals, open agendas, and a Norse/German stubborn attitude seem so be something we find
a mutual trust and strength in and we're really looking forward to a continued cooperation with our
friends/partners at Century Media. It is a strange thing this, the business of music, but like
everything else, it seems to come down to hard work, earnestness, straight talk and respect.

Due to illness, Jonas had to sit out this performance.
However, we made the best out of the situation, and we
had a very good time on stage considering the circumstances.

SLAYER POSTPONES UK/EUROPEAN TOUR

It is with immense disappointment that Slayer must postpone its UK and European tour that had been set to kick off on November 18 in the UK, and take the band on 19 dates through Europe, ending on December 17 in Germany.  The tour will be rescheduled to kick off on March 7 in Manchester, England (complete itinerary is below).

Vocalist/bassist Tom Araya has been under the care of a specialist for a back injury, and while he has already made substantial improvement, he is continuing on with doctor-prescribed treatment.

"Right now," said Slayer's manager, Rick Sales, "our main concern must be the full and permanent recovery of Tom, so we have decided to clear the calendar and give him the extra time he needs to concentrate solely on good health." 

Last week, Slayer announced the postponement of it's east coast "Canadian Carnage" co-headline tour with Megadeth; those dates will be rescheduled in February 2010.

is still very much alive, and has been moved to November 24:th.
