A WORD FROM L... It's so beautiful and exciting to see things manifesting for MT as a result of Angel love, support, and magic!
The mighty Angel Tina, an Angel to many of us, has faith in MT so strong, that she has vowed to do what ever she can to help promote and spread the word. She contacted her good friend and writer Chase Von, who is a mentor writer and interviewer for the SOP.org. Chase recently did a printed interview with MT (see previous blog), and then in turn, Chase contacted his boss the dynamic and gracious Judyth Piazza, who just this morning interviewed MT over the phone for her radio program (he was sooo nervous! lol) You can click the poster below and listen.
This is how things happen for artists, because it's not "who you know" but it's WHO KNOWS YOU. And if we keep working together, we CAN MAKE DREAMS HAPPEN. Each person you tell about MT, each CD that someone buys and plays for a friend, each person that comes to a live show and is touched by MT's heart and music..... is bringing us closer to the day that MT will be able to touch hearts and play his music around the world.

Chase Von: Hey there MT! I want to thank you for squeezing this in your hectic schedule and sharing yourself with our readers here at the Student Operated Press!

My dear friend Tina Devaney told me to check you out and I always listen to Tina because she has excellent taste! Another one she turned me on to was music Singing Sensation Lisa Lavie! So when Tina speaks, The Last Panther listens!

I was actually coming home from the store earlier today and they were playing Lisa..s song "No One" on 94.5 FM here is So Cal! The show its self is hosted by none other than Kenny G but since I haven..t heard from Lisa in more than a minute now, and I know she is mad busy like yourself, I told T to let her know she..s on the air waves here as well! (Smile).

Now when I checked out your music, my first thought was, sounds a lot like James Taylor! Do you get that a lot and once again, thanks for finding the time to share yourself with us here at the SOP!

MT: Oh, it..s my pleasure and honor Chase! Well, I have had a few people tell me James Taylor but actually we asked Myspace friends that very question, and by far the answers were Bob Dylan and Tom Waits.

I think the Tom Waits comes from my live performance... I..m a little crazy like Tom on stage...Ha ha... Dylan, I don..t know, maybe the sound of my voice.

Hello sweet Angels. I need your help.;-)

 I'm going to do two full production videos and I can't decide which songs to do?!? I would like to do one of the upbeat songs and one of the sweet ones. Please let me know... if you were in charge...which songs YOU would choose. Pick two for me. I will follow your lead...I just can't decide??!? LOL... I appreciate you so much!!!!! Thank you...

I hope I can paint you a picture, and share with you, the impact you had last night ♥ L ...

There are so many variables that can make or break a live show... and all the elements that make a show successful were there. Full house, good sound system and competent sound man, no broken strings, etc. Flanked by Jesse and Steve, MT took the stage and made magical music. His voice was strong, his songs full of emotion and real-life experience. He was animated, captivating, and entertaining.

But a magical, POWERFUL thing happened last night.... above and beyond all that.

MT headed to LA with an ARMY OF ANGELS flying above him, by his side, and underneath him, lifting him up and giving him strength and new found confidence. Not the arrogant, egocentric kind... but the strong inner confidence that has grown out of the incredible outpouring of your love and support. All your gracious comments and blessings, your words of encouragement from your hearts, buying his Promise CD, telling him you listened to his music... it DEEPLY touches MT EVERY DAY... and it made a HUGE impact last night!

For those of you who said "I WILL BE WITH YOU" let me tell you, YOU WERE. We could feel you, and we ALL walked into that club TOGETHER. I pass out white feathers from MT to everyone who comes to the show... and I scattered some on the side walk in front of the club. I wanted everyone to know MT and his Angels were there.

In the greater Los Angeles area, where there are literally thousands of bands, bars, clubs, concerts, etc., I think people tend to take so much for granted. They drink, talk to their friends, and often, rudely, completely ignore the act on stage trying to share their music and their heart.

It takes something exceptional to capture people's attention, and even more profound to truly touch their heart. I have known MT for 35 years, and I have been to hundreds of gigs..... MT's and other bands. But I have NEVER witnessed what I saw last night.

Started with Good Day.... sounded great. Enthusiastic applause. MT explained that the white feathers represent not only heavenly Angels, but the Angels right here on earth, encouraging and supporting each other, and helping to make dreams come true.... and he encouraged each person there to pursue their dreams, and to be one another's Angels.

Then Young Love, Fire, he was capturing more and more attention, and there was less and talking going on. Tattoo kicked ass and was so entertaining! The energy was awesome! Applause grew louder. Jesse plays guitar on Candy now, so MT can just grab the mic and sing with a passion. He did!

By the time he played Arizona and Wake Me Up.... you could have heard a pin drop. Everyone at the bar had turned around...... ALL eyes and ears were on MT... and NO ONE was talking...... it was AMAZING.

The beautiful Amanda Davis, who we've know since she was little girl, came on stage, and sang The Wedding Song duet with MT and did an incredible job!

The encore was Promise. And Keats cried. (our long time friend, and a former manager of MT's)

What a MAGIC night..... and it would not have been the same without ALL OF YOU, and the power of your LOVE.
Thank you all for being there. It was a TRIP, indeed............
