[edit] Eh.
Sometimes I'll just be sitting here at my computer wondering what in the hell I'm doing. It's been an ongoing thing for a couple of months. I don't think I'm depressed, I think it's more a matter of something being out of place. I wish I knew what it was, since it's getting hard for me to concentrate on much when I'm alone anymore. Things are good. Sleep has been minimal, but I guess I'm happy in the end. Every day's a new day, and every night is just as much of an equivalent. Here's to the next :).

Well here's day one on a weekend mission to upgrade a DDR: Extreme to an ITG machine. I'm praying that we're going to be able to pull it off tomorrow, but problems seem to arise around everything and everyone that i do. Roger and I left Westminster around 1PM today after making a few last minute stops, and we wound up getting to Mt. Airy around 1:30. It seems to be a tradition now to stop at the BP for energy drinks, followed by the Arby's arcross the street for some eats on the way to the 'burg. When we were in BP, the counter lady asked Roger why he loves "Roo" so much. We were both really caught off guard by that. The back of his car says "I love my roo." Apparently Kelly had written "I love my Baby" on the car, when Harper scrathed it out to say "I love my Bob" Roger, of course, changed the first "B" to an "R" and the second "b" to an "o". Thus, "Roo". We had to get a peice of hardware out of the DDR: Supernova machine that resides at the JMU for use in the In The Groove upgrade. What I thought was just going to be a stroll in there turned out to be a covert mission! We got in the facility, to find that there was a large party-like set up, and the area with the furniture/pool tables/ddr machine was blocked off by crazy drapes! I spotted an opening, and we hurried on through there to the back of the game. It's pretty creepy in there when everything is off.. and blocked. Anyway, I'm glad I packed a screwdriver! We got in and out of there without anyone noticing, which is just sort of interesting... It wasn't their hardware anyway, so we couldn't have gotten in any trouble for that. Well, the DDR machine seems to have a mind of it's own. My PC is telling me that three different arrows are the same damn buton. You can't dance to that stuff. I don't know how tomorrow is going to work out, nobody really does. This update is the first of it's kind, and if as sucsessful as I plan it to be, it surely won't be the last. I'll try to get some videos when I'm down here. For now all I have are some pictures that I took with my iPhone.
Roger and I ran around the resort for a little bit in the cold. They're blowing snow on the moutain to create slopes for snowboarding/skiing, too bad we're a little too early for all of that. I'm missing everybody back in Westminster. I feel like I left to do this at the most inopportune time, but what can you do. I'll resume the insanity sunday night/monday morning. I'll try to keep everybody updated! - The Chow.

Things have been going pretty well in the world of Eric!
Yesterday I went to the bank and was able to apply for a credit card without a co-signer. It's probably not going to be that high of an amount, but it's something for me to start building credit on! On top of that, I recently won an auction for the now out of print Morning Sci-Fi 3xLP by Hybrid. (for a dollar.) Been listening to that all morning now :).
My social life has been going pretty smoothly as well. No drama or any of that crap to complain about, which is a beautiful thing :).
I've had a little bit of a chance to play Mirror's Edge, and having a great time in the process. It's rare that I stumble on a game that really keeps me hooked like this.
The ITG machine is getting a HUGE update tomorrow. We're looking at a much newer build of the game. In the process, I'm working on upgrading the PIU machine right behind it.
The work never ends! The dancing never stops!

I love those days where you wake up feeling unsure of everything around you, and not knowing what to make out of anything. That same night you're so confident about life that you can go on through another day without any sleep.
That's the only time I really feel like I'm thinking clearly. I feel more awake, alive, and full of ideas. Maybe it's just me, but after you wake up the next day, you're usually the one saying to yourself: "what in the hell was I thinking last night?"
All I know is that I'm totally shit-tons more productive on the PC when I stay up. That's pretty good, concidering I've got a ton of work on dancey games to accomplish. You kids should stop by Players some time and check the shit out. Look for the "Protocol" selection on the ITG machine.
The Lich King launch at GameStop was pretty crazy. The registers decided not to accept credit/debit cards or checks.. People got pissed. Somebody left their copy of the game at the damned store. I got a GoW2 standee.
I think I might release a stepfile to the world this week. Last time I think I did that was, oh, I don't know - two or some odd years ago. A lot of shit has changed since then :).
Keep your dancing pants tight.
- Chow.

Damn it I love the winter. I mean sure, the bitterness of the cold, and the lack of heat that corresponds do suck, but there has always been something great about the whole season. The events that have taken place during the previous years may have an effect on me, but there has always been this feeling of hope that I've had around this point in time.
I've been up to way too much lately, and I've gotten way over my head in more than one way. I think it's time I took a step back and looked at everything that's around me, instead of what is not, and what can't be.
A lot of things are looking up for me, and I think that this season is going to be full of some great events. Nothing that I'm not looking forward to. I'm going to make the best out of all the time that's given to me. That means that those around me can benefit form that time as well.
Being out of state has become something that is a little more than frequent with me. I've found myself in Virginia almost more than here in Maryland this month. I like getting out there every once in a while. It does me some good to get out of town.
I've been talking with a few of my friends about finally sitting down and recording some material. In the time that I'm not at one of my jobs, or at class, we can start to get some things together.
As a closing note, I'm doing more than I ever have with those dancing games. Everyone should get their dancing pants together! Don't hold your breath though, perfection requires patience

One more day.. one more day of school left for everybody that I've gone to school with for the last ten years or so. Me? I get to stay behind for another semester. You know, catching up on that shit that I was too stupid to get out of the way the first chance I had. I have to take fucking US Government again. For the fourth time. Yeah, don't ask. It's really a sad thing to think about though.. I mean, hell, I'm not stupid, and I could have easily gotten those classes out of the way. It's more of the fact that I didn't want to get them out of the way.. I didn't really see a need to get the work done. Whats really weird about all of that, is it only seems to apply to school. I'm never like that with anything else. Oh well.
Other than that being in the back of my mind, I'm doing fantastic. Like really, I'm doing great. It's been a pretty long time since I could say that. I mean, life has its ups, downs, even it's lefts and rights sometimes... but everything has been a little easier on me lately. Damn, I think it's gotten to the point where I'm sure I could use a little bit of a break from everyting. Work is going all right, the only thing that has been a bit of a pisser with that is my schedule. Getting 20 hours one week, followed by, ah, I'm at 3 this week. Thats all because someone I work with can't seem to enjoy working with me. I don't think thats something that should come between me and my source of income. So, if that keeps up, I'm going to get a new job in a heartbeat. Which, will kind of suck, because I really do like working at GameStop. I know all the, well, everything there... and I'm damn good at selling the shit. Eh, I guess I shouldn't be venting to MySpace about that anyway.
As much as I hate being public about personal stuff, I'll let loose a little. I'm back with Krissy, who, for those of you that don't already know, was my first (yes, my first...) real girlfriend. THE OTHERS WERE ALL FAKE! o.o Heh, but things are going great with us... and I'm just praying that they continue to do so. This is the greatest relationship I've ever had... and I've told her that.. I think that both of us have just been through too much in the past couple of years, and I'm so happy that high school is coming to an end while I'm with her. The only thing thats been on my mind about that is that I now have this strong insecurity (bah, I'm a fucking emo kid!) that I didn't used to have. Fuck you, crazy bitches that make me this way! Meh, well, in a way, I needed it. I was too optomistic.. I knew it, you probably knew it, we all knew it.
I want to make some music. I'll let you guys know if anything comes out of my synths that I want to publish. Speaking of music, well, speaking for jesus... I've got exactly 10 copies of The Muffin Party's debut EP: Speaking For Jesus avaliable for order. They're $5 each, and profits go to a re-recording and vinyl release. Hot-cha! Let me know if you're interested in one, and we can work out shipping costs, etc.
In The Groove? Dance Dance Revolution? Call it dance game with arrows if I care anymore... I'm still working on StepMania. Still no pay as far as that goes. Over the summer I plan ..ting a resume to some game companies... we'll see how far that will get me. Not like I haven't worked on stuff for some of them before, so thats a real step in the door if I ever said so myself. Theres going to be a new modification for In The Groove 2: Arcade cabinates soon.. (soon being, over the summer...) called In The Groove 2: Protocol. This is news to most of you, but I did demo the game a few times publically already. I can tell you that eventually the ITG2 machine over at Players, {for those in the MD/PA area) will be the first machine converted over to a Protocol. The game will contain all the original songs and features of ITG2, and then some. Keep an eye out for teasers I'll be posting all over YouTube.
Also: CHECK EBAY! I've been clearing out a lot of shit in my room on there.. My seller name is.. (guess) ...darkchao56. Damn, its so universal now. :).
Hope everything is going well with everybody... Leave it, and I'll try to leave more for you guys to read. =]
Out for now, - ChachaChao

Bah! I know, I know, I didn't get a lot done on Chaomix. Don't hammer me for it, I've been pretty busy. New classes are at hand. This is a good thing for the most part. I'm trying to keep school as my top priority for a semester and I'll see if that makes much more of a difference as far as my grades go. In the little time that I've had, quite a bit of steppitude has been done. I'd say within the last month I've pumped out a good ten charts - half of them doubles. None of the stepfiles are complete, and I don't plan on them being complete any time soon, so don't get your hopes up too much. I've worked on the theme a little more, but nothing worth mentioning. Oh, it seems that MySpace has been confirming every link you go to visit outside of it's server, which is a great thing for phishing prevention, but when it comes to valid, happy links, it sucks. I've taken the stepfile links off of my page, and you'll notice that it's been replaced with a site banner. Again, I'll work on this when I get some extra time on my hands. There are a few people that are paying me to work on their sites, and they're first priority! I've been doing a shitload of work in Photoshop. Its been a while, so I'm happy about that. I'm sure a few BG files will come out of that work, too. Well, as far as getting to check out whats been done on chaomix recently, I'm going to be recording some videos this friday at players, during the lock-in. I'll upload them over the weekend, then you can all drool over what is to come! Now life... life has been good. I've been keeping busy... between work, school, and frequent Super Smash Bros. Brawl parties, I'm booked. I got the new PC set up, and its working like a charm. I need to get my "old" PC hooked back up, though - I've got a lot of stuff on there that I still need :(. Working in Vista has been quite a treat - still trying to get used to all the new functions, etc. Got a new keyboard, its quite awesome. It glows and stuff. Ah, another thing worth mentioning. Apparently by the end of this week I'll be receiving a state ID and a checking account. So, eBay beware, Imma be sellin' stuff on you! That also means that you'll all be able to donate to Chaomix a lot easier! Out for now, - Eric

Well, for anyone thats been reading my other blogs they can tell that I haven't been too worried about chaomix, because I've had plenty of other things to worry about.
I've had a few moments here and there that I was working on things, usually over the break. Sadly, nothing is quite ready to be tossed out. However, I did upload some new stuff for everybody!
There were two new stepfiles uploaded just a little while ago, those would be Clockwork Revelations and Virtual Emotion
Some people have asked me why I haven't submitted anything into the recent StepMix 3 contest - and I honestly don't have a reason - laziness? Maybe I'm too much of a perfectionist now - but I'll have to wait around until StepMix 4, then you guys will have to nag me about it :).
We're starting to get some videos up in the YouTube channel from Massanutten, and you can check whats been uploaded here.
Thats all I've got for the time being. The project is still a-go, and I've decided that I want to let others in on the creation of it - I've had quite a few people ask, and I think we should see how that goes.
Comment the shit, - Eric
