Current mood: accomplished
So now that the digital tapes and CDs are up for grabs, I figure I should post the track names from each. The tape and cd editions of " The Things We Know How To Love" are the same. That is: There we go. That should do it. The song Years #1 is on the Beatbeat Whisper album Wonder Continental as Eager Eyes, recorded diferently with Ayla playing and singing on it. So are Up the Long Tracks, Jen Marie, and A Childhood of Playful Heart, now that I think about it. Then for the second album, " Tingling Arms and the Scars in the Fog" The track list looks more like this: 1. If I Wore Glasses (or, "You gave me a painting by Robert Wood and I'm going to keep it") 2. These Tears 3. Just What to Say 4. The Traitor Gaspar Quesada (or, "How I almost made it around the world, but lost a day") 5. To [a] Tackle [box in] the Future 6. I hope the scale of my fear of sad endings doesn't bother you 7. A Life Shape 8. The Brothers Windy 9. Picture Bible 10. P.S. 11. I think it might rain, I hate to say it
This album also features a song off of " Wonder Continental," but you can guess which one. I hope that was helpful and informative. If not one, than the other. Enjoy! P.S.: It's the last track.

Well, here's the thing. I have finally been able to do something that I've wanted to for a little while here. Let me explain. For those of you who don't know, I've been playing with Nick Wortham, Dylan McKeever, and Ayla Nereo who all were gracious enough to be part of my group for a few shows. It has been really fun. Reeeeeeeeeeeealy, I'm quite serious about how much fun I've had with them. Well, guess what? (You don't have to, it was rhetorical and I'm going to tell you now anyways.) I got to record a song with them all!You have probably already heard it if you're reading this, because if you got here, then you were just on the page where listening to that song happens. That song is called "Between Every Other Line" and will be on an e/p or something. I am going to try to finish these recordings sometime in the next few minutes of this summer. That sounds pretty possible. Next I would like to say Thanks for listening to that song I've been talking about here, and also, thanks to my beautiful housemates Rene and Lisa for singing in lovely voical on the song. Great great great.

Well well, here we are again. There seems to be a thing or two for me to say so that I'm not just repeating myself.
I have finished my second album. The title is "Tingling Arms and the Scars in the Fog" and I'm in the process of making a second batch of them. The first batch was only about 10 of them, so that was short lived. I had to change the packaging because of supply shortage, but it should be really soon now.
Also, I've been enjoying making buttons recently. If anyone would like to buy a button, I could easily make you a customized one. Maybe we'll figure out some kind of donation thing so I can get them to you.
Also, I'm going to start playing shows again very soon. If you made it to the last couple (other than the multitudes of Beatbeat Whisper shows I've been playing) then congrats, because I haven't really played solo that much. Time is slippery. However, there are in the works some more Santa Cruz appearances and maybe Sonoma county and the East Bay?
So let me know if you're interested in anything that I've just said. I have an e-mail address that is spelled thatblastedhound@gmail.com which you can send messages to, or through this here myspace.
Hope all of you are well. Cheers!
-Davyd

Current mood: tired
To keep anybody out there posted on my musical goings on.
Yeah! I've been writing more songs again recently. Two I wrote on the Piano, one on acoustic guitar, and I'm pretty happy with them. One is up and it's called: The traitor Gaspar Quesada (or "How I almost made it around the entire world, but lost a day") The others will be going on album #2, which I'm working on and will probably be done in a month or so.
These albums have been long overdue, and are mostly music recently written (by me). Actually, the last on was all written within a year or so of the release. With the exception of a song or two. Most of my old songs are stupid, but I've been fucking around with them to see what's neat to me and all. I may put a really old one on the next album.
I also played some music with my cellist friend Brian, so that's rad. Maybe there will be music from that soon. My sis and I got back from playing in souther california, and loved it. we're playing shows in the near future, so that info's all over at beatbeatwhisper.com.
Oh! This part is actually exciting (for me)!
I'm playing a show as That Blasted Hound this friday!
It's for the CD release of the band "DAD" who are great. I've been playing a bunch with Ayla as Beatbeat Whisper, so this is like the second or third TBH performance.
Stupid.

Current mood: awake
So I've finally gottten over my desire to have each and every little tiny noise in each song that I wanted to be there. Some of the songs are barren like a well in the dust bowl. Some are like the tiny kitchen in my apartment when friends are over and hungry. All of these songs will be up here for sale eventually.
This is all recorded, written, and performed by me in various places at various times in the last half year. There will be more soon probably. Let me kknow if you like any of it.

Hey y'all. We had a blast last night playing at The Shop Show, or this new incarnation of that idea, and I'm real glad those of you I talked to had fun listening to our set. some people asked for recordings of the songs, but all I got are recordings of "This Town" and now I'm putting up a recording of "Simple Way" I did a while ago. Hope you like em. We might record the songs for real sometime soon, but maybe not. So until then, you get this shitty one.

I've posted new songs. "This Town" was recorded in september, 2005 with Dylan McKeever doing drums and tambourine like nobodies business. "Where Can You Turn" was recorded sometime this month and played at the latest rendition of the Shop Show. "In the Rain" I wrote and recorded friday (I think there's some jump-roping in the background if you listen real close). Tell me what y'all think.

Current mood: hungry
If you're reading this, that means you've bade it through this year as well (assuming you don't do anything stupid like dying within the next 13 hours. And dying means you won't get to fulfill your oh so precious new years resolutions. I wonder if I ever completed mine? No, actually I don't have to wonder that. That's the beauty of not making them in the first place. I always say if You don't expect much, you won't be disappointed. So this year I'm going to not make any resolutions. Again. No more thinking up false hopes and meaningless dreams and preparing for the future. I can only hope I will be wearing pants if I go out in public tomorrow. I think I've had a pretty good year. I've done a lot tried pretty hard. That's kinda the point of everything to me. I've gone places and seen things and I don't really think I have many regrets. Doing things is one thing, but as Mick Jagger once said, “Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.” So tonight, if I get drunk enough to accidentally make a new year's resolution, I hope I have the clarity of mind to make it this: "Try to overdo as many things as possible." That should be fine. As long as it doesn't apply to cooking. Out.

Hello everyone. I'm in New York. It's big here. And amazing, so I really wanna stay here forever, but I probably shouldn't. I've got a home to go home to and that's pretty cool too. I've gotta run.
