AAAHHHHAAA!!

We just got back from Oni-Con which was held in Houston, TX this past Halloween weekend.  As usual, it was work work work with about 2 to 3 hours sleep each night before getting ready for the next day.

First off would like to thank the entire staff of Oni-Con for making this trip an enjoyable one! Honto ni ARIGATO!  We all look forward to next year!

Friday Night: Unfortunately there was some delay in getting the booth set up before the live, but no biggie, that just meant more time to drink for me =P
The live event started on time at 7:00pm with new comer Buranadon who we will feature on our JROCK Talk show after PMX. 
After Burandon performed, Satsuki took the stage and dazzled the audience and his long awaited fans with a show peformance that was pure Angelic!  Plus he invited guitarist Tomo san of EchoStream to perform his last song with him on stage.  The two rocked out hard for his final set. 
Next was EchoStream which apparently tranced a couple in the back to shove there tongues down each others throat the whole EchoStream live (Mental Note: Play Echo Stream CD on dates for possible instant Make out session).
The main act of the evening was Hard Rock'n Visual Kei band born.  What a final set it was with born basicially doing everything and anything to make sure the fans enjoyed the show.  Stage diving and all, born's heavy set list and wailing vocals made anyone that left the event early regret it the next day, begging us to have born perform an encore set on Saturday (sorry did not happen).  
Met tons of awesome people, and ran into awesome familiar faces as well.  In the past, cons were an escape to have fun, now its all work work work, but with an accomplishment feeling that we are providing awesome JROCK  and a piece of Japanese culture to all of you.
One attendee came up and said "Shion, thank you for bringing these bands to Houston" that made my whole week end.  And you know what?  You are more than welcome, and thank you for attending!.

One of the highlights for me, which unfortunately was kind of late notice was the live Skype Panel for his Excellency DEMON KAKKA from JROCK icons SEIKIMA II.  His Excellency answered a few press questions as well as questions from fans, and then announced his U.S. Debut tour at 2010 AKON in Dallas TX. 

The whole event will be covered by both Cure, Shattered-Tranquility, ASKEW, JRR, & Anime Food to name a few.  Once up, I will provide links to the articles.

Now, we prepare for PMX Nov 6th to 8th as Cure Presents JPOP IDOL Duo Papillon and fashion show by h.naoto line of hANGRY&ANGRY.  Cure will also debut its new magazine titled Cure Mani which will focus on the Indy Pop Idol scene in japan which very closely relates to the Visual Kei scene as well.
