There was a young man named Herbert
who was an incredible pervert,
with tastes not diverse.
This was his life's curse,
to only be attracted to sherbert.

It has come to our attention that our dear friend, Mister Phineas P. Moneyload, Rogue Financier, is indeed a rogue! Apparently, the sponsors that Phineas has been sending our way are, in fact, completely made up (gasp!?!).  And due to this recently discovered fact, we now look to you, our dear listeners...

Klaude and I don't do a lot of hyping of the "donate" button. We both feel a little awkward about it, really. But, after doing the show weekly, for over a year, it bears noting that putting together, recording, and producing a radio program takes, of course, a lot of time that we should probably be devoting to more paid work. Unfortunate. But true. The time we once spent "working", we now spend on the show. Beyond that, a program takes, of course, a good amount of bandwidth and server space to handle the distribution and access to the files for the podcasts. Contributions of all sizes help support the backend (the technology) as well as the front end (our time, our need for supplies and tools so we can keep creating and having new things to talk to you about each week, our desire for a bottomless cup of tea, and, of course, our love of music).

So where do you come in?

• Some listeners help support the show by making monetary contributions.
• Some listeners contribute by calling into the program
• Some listeners post on their various blogs or journals that they’re listening to our show
• Some listeners contribute by sending in information about events
• Some listeners buy stickers or T-shirts to show off their good taste
• Some listeners leave positive (glowing is good) feedback at Podcatcher sites or in iTunes.
• Some listeners contribute by sending small goodies, or mail art, or CDs, or prezzies, or, well you get the picture... just to say "hi" and "I know you're out there!" We love unexpected surprises!

All forms of support are appreciated, and as we look at the direction the show needs to go in this, its second year, and explore avenues for publishing a book, all forms of contribution and support of the show help - even hearing from you via email that you "like what's happening and what you're hearing." It all matters, and you each have different ways to contribute. And, of course, you are welcome to contribute in multiple ways. Whatever makes you comfortable, whatever you feel inspired to do...

PayPal is one method for making contributions.

If you are interested in mailing something to us, that is easy enough...

The way I look at it... how much do you spend, without even thinking about it, for a magazine subscription for a publication you might get monthly or to go see a movie (when there’s something you actually want to see).

Thanks to all of you who do and have contributed in various ways to the show. It makes a huge difference and is SOOOOOO appreciated. Both Klaude & I couldn't keep doing it without all of you! - Emmett

Emmett this and Emmett that!
Who turned up the thermostat?
I feel an unaccustomed heat
Creeping 'neath my collar.
When Emmett takes the stage you see
I bet my bottom dollar
She'll have something mesmero-magical to say.
In times of old an emmet was
What they called an ant:
Tiny, yet for its little size
Strong like the greatest oliphant,
And now this creature bears my huge and heavy heart away.
Emmett that and Emmett this!
Her eyes I think are amethysts.

Ode to my Hat by Emmett Davenport

I used to have a squid hat,
It's black and blue and grey,
I desperately want to find it
I wish it was my lucky day!

I was recently contacted by the lovely folks at Sepiachord, and they asked me questions. I tried not to sound like a twit... hopefully, I was successful.

Thank you again, Mr. Bodewell, for thinking I'm interesting enough to interview!

There once were two sisters named Davenport,
Who played music for folks, of all kinds and sorts.
They sometimes did it from high in the sky,
They sometimes did it from on the ground live.
You should totally listen and drink a lot of port.

A little yellow scurvy with a fringe on top.
My soul needs limes to arrest this
desert-like feeling.

STUDIOUS

The eldest Davenport is quiet, refined,
A subdued lady with a questioning mind.

Through the darkened skies the Calpurnia hums in flight.
And ensconced in the library of her airship home,
Emmett reads among the shadows by candlelight.
Plunging the depths of some ancient tome.

She scribbles and notes, with feverish looks,
Questing forever in her jungle of books

The Calpurnia,
Home to the Davenports,
Safety in the skies.
