Dearest Friends,
I hope you are having a great week so far! I am well, but busy as hell. I am shooting, editing, and producing the music video for the song Twilight Holocaust, for my band, writing and recording lyrics and vox for two new songs, and trying to plan my stay in Europe this summer.
Anyway, I wanted to share with you the most amazing metal album cover artist ever! I accidentally found his site on myspace while surfing through and instantly fell in love with his art. His name is Jumali Katani aka Metal Artist and his work is simply beautiful...dark, brutal, full of gore and fantasy, and bloody fucking great!
Check him out on his myspace at:
Check out his portfolio work here:

Dear Friends, Just wanted to let you know about the new book my band WhipKraft is presented in, hot of the press-- called 'Music to Die For'. I think it's a pretty nifty 624 page long guide, containing individual entries on various different bands from all over the world and with 183 photos!! It covers mostly gothic bands from the beginning to the present day and wherever possible contains full line-up details and discographies as well as unusual facts revealed by many of the bands. It is the biggest guide I ever saw printed about this underground scene. You can find my band under the metal genre. The book is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and from the publisher. If you are interested in finding out more info about the book, try one of the links below:

I promised there was more coming up, here it is, the review of the latest Avenged Sevenfold album: The self-titled album from avenged Sevenfold brings in a mixture of surprises and musical experimentation. I am just simply stunned by this album, never being an Avenged Sevenfold fan, this album has changed everything for me. Avenged Sevenfold has decided to self produce everything, maybe this is why this album is so dynamic in nature, full of character (and I mean full of character) and free of the over processed, over perfected and overly generic bullshit which comes with "overly" sleek production engineers. The majority of the songs have great catchy riffs and melodies, stand out vocals, Iron Maiden-ish guitar solos, spectacular drumming, and a hard driving bass. Really, could you ask for more?... Hey Guys, Happy November! I hope you all had a good start to the new month. Mercury Retrograde is over so that is always great news for everyone. So, if you like Metal and dig Megadeth, you must check out my latest revew of their tour. MEGADETH REVIEWMuch love to ya all, Vena ---------------------------------- If you did not get a chance to see Megadeth's Tour of Duty, then you're missing out big time. Megadeth put on an intense, high-energy show which simply fucking rocked. Several reasons contribute to this. First, Megadeth played songs they have not played since the early 90's, such as Take No Prisoners and Ashes In Your Mouth. Second, they did not play too many songs off their new album which is a good thing since it just simply is not as good as the old stuff. A really great point is that they did not play a single song of their Album, Risk, (whew) which was their "pop" album and worst album to date. Go Here to Read More....

The Album, a BLACK SPOT, thirteen coils & fifteen men, by The Bourbon Knights are one of my all time favorite albums. This band based out of southern Illinois defies being categorized quite honestly, but it consists of a combination of Punk, folk rock, acoustic, goth, and very very pirate; boiling down to being quite an alternative album of sorts. The Bourbon Knights consist of 12-13 members....
