Hello Friends,

I would like to let you know that I have completely revamped the Artopium Forums, adding many new categories of discussion all very relevant to your artistic endeavors. Not to mention that you are no longer required to sign up to post topics, meaning no information, personal or otherwise, will be asked of you to start a new topic or reply to one. Just click “New Topic” and instantly start typing your post. Some of the new forum categories are:

* Musicians Seeking Musicians
* Fashion Design Tips
* Photographers & Models For Hire
* Art, Music, Fashion, Film and Book Critiques
* New Film and CD Releases
* Upcoming Shows & Gallery Openings
* Much, Much More!

Because Artopium.com is so new, the Artopium Forums has not yet generated a lot of activity. You can be the first to post a topic in many of these categories and be seen by the rest who follow (which, very soon, will be a lot). And as an extra incentive, I will lock the first three posts submitted to any one category to the top of the discussion board to help those posts generate the most views. This means that whatever you post will get A LOT of views, if it's one of the first three in it's category.

To further seed the Artopium Forums I will be periodically taking comments posted to the Artopium Myspace page and re-submitting them to the forums. If you do not want your comment put into the forums, please send me a message instead.

Some of the benefits of being an Artopium Artist Member are:

* Free hosting of audio, video and image files for promoting your Creative Works.

* Accept credit cards for online puchases of your Creative Works

* Artopium will actively drive potential customers to your Creative Works which you can monitor with the statistics provided in your My Artopium Account Area.

* Artopium allows artists to sell downloadable items as well such as Mp3 Albums, digital Giclee Print .TIFF files, and PDF ebooks.

Dear friends,

I would like to invite you back to Artopium.com where I have made extensive changes to the functionality and layout of the site as well as fixed a numerous amount of usability problems and bugs. I know that some of you had problems signing up or found the process confusing but I think that you'll find most, if not all problems fixed and I encourage you to try signing up once more. I have listed below some of the more important changes made to Artopium:
* All javascript was made 100 percent FireFox compatible. This was a big issue for most people and I'm glad to say everything now works fine in FireFox or just about any other Mozilla browser.

* Artists can now add their Myspace URLs to their Artopium profiles providing a link back to their Myspace page.

* The login system was improved to be more secure, and now uses your email in place of a username to ensure easier access to your profile information.

* The My Artopium Member Area is now broken up into several sections making it easier to navigate and make changes to your profile.

* The rating system was improved to include a base rating system that stabilizes ratings against the fluctuations of the number of visitors to the site.

* The main navigation was moved below the main title to provide a more natural look.

* More categories were added to the Cyber Gallery and Fashion sections.

* 100 percent of the graphics and HTML were re-designed from scratch to provide a higher quality presentation of your Creative Works to potential buyers and an easier navigation of the site.

* The URL provided to artists as a link to their Artopium profile page has been simplified so that it is easier to distribute for promotion. Artopium profile URLs will now always be "http://www.Artopium.com/YourDisplayName". The static HTML page that this URL now takes you to is better coded for search engine placement.

* The help section was re-written to reflect all changes and is easier to understand.

* Almost the entire Artopium Library was re-written to be easier to read and to answer questions more thoroughly and effectively.

* The Artopium Forums now has more and better categories for topics and does not require registration of any type to start or reply to topics.

* Sign up is now easier and quicker as unnecessary steps have been removed and better explanations have been provided.

* The Artopium Artist Index, located in the Artopium Library has been fixed so that all artists are represented with correct links instead of gibberish. The Artist Index is crawled periodically by various search engine web bots for indexing into the search engines and will now ensure better indexing of every artist on Artopium.

Thousands of lines of code were added to provide a better working and more efficient site, so come back and check it out. I think you'll like what you see!
