the venue vanishing point has closed down. mutant transmissions is
looking for another venue. this is unfortunate news for anyone who
claims that there is any kind of diy scene in this city, when the money
shit kills something like this. they and we are open to places. I don’t
really have a positive outlook about it right now. I mean what the fuck
is going on in this place if even just setting up local shows is like
pulling pr teeth and name dropping and shit. it’s fuckin phony. there
isn’t any place that is simply open for anyone to easily find a place
to do express themselves (with exception to vanishing point, wes pac,
and goodbye blue monday amongst others). it’s all about fuckin draw and
alcohol and bullshit. people should be pissed the fuck off. and you know what, if I'm wrong, tell me about it, cause I want to be wrong right now.
I’m not
convinced about any other city either. we’re in a quiet cultural slump
right now all over the country. and I’m not moving out either, I will
not be a cultural refugee because of some greedy trend in humanity. we
all just have to be creative now where and when we are. who the fuck
knows, I’m just frustrated.

there are two things to check out. One is a cool thing you should check out, the other is absolutely mandatory and missing it will put a curse on you that'll make you lose any grip you have on reality, causing you to slip into madness.

The first, is a sediment club offshoot called Crime Scene. They're Playing on march 27th at the Yippie museum with Genuine Imitations, Phat Raskals, and The Crayons.

The other, Is Mutant Transmissions on April 3-5 at Vanishing Point in Brooklyn. We're playing at it, along with Din Glorious, Testicular Manslaughter, and more. If you like alien music, this is where you have to go.
