Can't you hear my storm coming
Stones falling on to you
Can't you feel the earth shaking
Big dark clouds forming now

Can't you hear my sky shouting
Close, chasing after you
Deep, dark fear building up
It's too strong for you

And I hope you're satisfied
I hope you're satisfied
I hope you're satisfied
To see the wind blow over me

Can't you here my snow crying
Under your feet the ice breaking
Can't you hear me, I'm here
I'm whistling in your ear

And I hope you're satisfied
I hope you're satisfied
I hope you're satisfied
To see the wind blow over me

Can't you hear my storm coming
Stones falling
Big dark clouds forming now

Can't you hear my storm coming
Stones falling
Big dark clouds

And I hope you're satisfied
And I hope you're satisfied
To see the wind blow over me

Can't you hear my storm coming
Stones falling
Big dark clouds forming now

Can't you hear my storm coming
Stones falling
Big dark clouds forming now

V - Est-ce que je l'ai imaginé?

O - J'ai été rempli de vapeur, pendant des mois…

Et c'est lui vraiment si dur pour trouver des noms de bande?

Mysterious web campaigns appear to be all the rage this year - I haven't even bothered with Tori's blog hunt yet.

And 1 more thing: essential animation on DVD (from UK perspective, that is).

Leeds Film Festival 2006
This year they have the latest films by 2 of my 3 most favourite directors (and they won't be on general release in Japan until 2007) and at least one other who could become the 4th. And that's not even mentioning the Seaming/Micheal England audio-visual extravaganza that I have to make time for, the new Kneehigh and Improbable productions at the West Yorkshire Playhouse before that and the Bradford Animation festival after it. I really hope that the university doesn't expect us to do any kind of work during these weeks of chaos.

As I already have my 'Waiting for Kalki' Blog, anything that I also post here is going to be very important. And what is this announcement that's so important I'm posting it here? Well, if you live in the UK and watch TV at all then you may know that the now free-of-charge FilmFour channel has been showing a season of almost all of MIYAZAKI Hayo's films. What you may not know is the exact date and time for each film (these are listed below) and that from now on they are all being shown in their original Japanese language, with the original songs and background music and Studio Ghibli's official English-langue script as the subtitles. This is a much more literal translation than the adapted script used for the dub, and although it isn't perfect it is more subtle and poetic and explains some very important things which are never even mentioned in the dub.

All these dates are in August, and these are the only ones left:
Mon 14 5:05 PM Kiki's Delivery Service (Majo no Takkyuubin)
Tue 15 00:45 AM Grave of the Fireflies (Hotaru no Haka)
Tue 15 4:45 PM Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind (Kaze no Tani no Naushika)
Wed 16 4:45 PM Porco Rosso (Kurenai no Buta)
Thu 17 5:10 PM Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro (Rupan Sansei: Kariosutoro no Shiro)

Even if you have little or no idea of what I'm ranting about, if you'd like to make someone happy then please please please tune your digibox or TV to Freeview channel 31, Sky 315, NTL 701/50 or Telewest 444 and leave it on for the duration of the film, maybe even watching it if you have time to. This is important for me because there is a lot of subtitled animation that I don't already have on DVD, and if FilmFour don't good enough viewing figures for these showings, then there is no chance of them showing any more animation in its original language and at an acceptable time.
