Hi all,

Good news with Dave's Mac. It is back up and running, all the files are un- damaged and now it is just Bruce that has computer problems. After the New Year, He said he would have more time to fix his computer problems and get started working on the project again. I hope the mix will go easy for the next song "Until the Dawn".

Good news and bad news,

First the good news. We have a final mix of the song "Better man". Dave wanted to mix this song and it was a big challenge. Not enough computer resourses stalled it for a few weeks as he started way back in August and four months later it is finally done!

The bad news is he had a operating system crash and can't get to the files for "Better man". His guitar tracks for the next song "Until the Dawn" are also on the crashed computer. The raw audio are backed up to another drive and I hope they are still all intact. I don't know how long it will take him to get up and running again. In the mean-time I have posted a sample of a ruff-mix of the song for now.

Bruce will be available after the holidays to work on the next song so I am going to work on a re-write of an older prog tune of mine with a 6/8 groove. It should be a nice addition. Sorry, no fall release of this project for sure now :(.

It has been a month since I posted anything because there has been nothing to post! The song "Betterman" is still not close to being mixed. Dave was having computer troubles trying to handle all the tracks at first and the mix is still needing some work. It is a difficult song to mix . Dave is also trying to purchase a house here in the Central Valley of California. Housing prices have dropped because of all the foreclosers which is not good, but for Dave, he's in a good position. Unfortunately, People / companies that can buy with cash get the good deals before they even hit the market. So things are slowing down until further notice. I am happy for Dave that he is getting into a house. At the same time, some of my friends have lost theirs, which is very hard indeed.

we have finished the song "Age of Wonders" and are onto the next one. Dave D. is going to have his hand at the controls for the mix of  "Better man". It is a nice symphonic arrangement with a big symphony ending. It talks of how Christ re-builds us from the ground up into something better if we let him instead of going it alone. We all need to be re-built.

Time for the update Blog,

I am enjoying a cup of tea and listening to the "first draft" of "Age of Wonders". This song talks about how in this present age, mankind has increased in knowlege, but true wisdom is not being searched for.

This song is a nice driving tune, and has what I call the "James Bond" riff, I think our band is more like "Get Smart" though. Ha. I hear some things that have to be changed, so were not yet finished, but I thought I would post it anyway.

"mixed it by that much" 

well, we have finished the mix for the song Forgiveness and are on to finishing the vocal tracks to the song "Age of Wonders" it has a nice rock'n feel with a real nice chorus, a little more progressive sound like Life Fantastic. Once the voclas are done along with the last keyboard part, we will start the mix for it as well. I like this song a lot. It is coming along real nice.

The band has been included on CPR3 and we are so pleased to be accepted in to the company of such creative and wonderful artists!

As of last night, we just a need few fine tune adjustments and the 2nd song from the album will be completed. It is sounding really good with a huge wall of guitar! it is more straight forward rock, not as prog, The solo bridge has a kind of Journey / Toto  feel to it. As soon as we get a final mix to share I will post it.
