This week is National Suicide Prevention week. Suicide is a huge problem in today's youth (And LGBT youth are even more at risk for suicide) and I believe if we raise awareness and spread the word that help is out there, we can decrease that number drastically. Here are the facts:

-In the year 2000, approximately one million people died from suicide: a "global" mortality rate of 16 per 100,000, or one death every 40 seconds.



-In the last 45 years suicide rates have increased by 60% worldwide. Suicide is now among the three leading causes of death among those aged 15-44 years (both sexes); these figures do not include suicide attempts up to 20 times more frequent than completed suicide.



-Suicide worldwide is estimated to represent 1.8% of the total global burden of disease in 1998, and 2.4% in countries with market and former socialist economies in 2020.



-Although traditionally suicide rates have been highest among the male elderly, rates among young people have been increasing to such an extent that they are now the group at highest risk in a third of countries, in both developed and developing countries.



-Mental disorders (particularly depression and substance abuse) are associated with more than 90% of all cases of suicide; however, suicide results from many complex sociocultural factors and is more likely to occur particularly during periods of socioeconomic, family and individual crisis situations (e.g. loss of a loved one, employment, honour).

Crüe Fest 2: The White Trash Circus is the second year of the Crüe Fest touring festival, created and headlined by Mötley Crüe. The tour takes place over the summer of 2009, and is in the same vein as Crüe Fest.

On March 16 2009, the line up for Crüe Fest 2 was announced at a press conference at the Fuse TV studio in New York City. The bands now confirmed in addition to Mötley Crüe themselves are Charm City Devils, Drowning Pool, Godsmack, and Theory of a Deadman.

Nikki Sixx said of the lineup, "This is what we imagined when we came up with the idea of Crüe Fest last summer - putting together the most kick ass bands on one bill for a day of rock. All of the bands on this tour compliment the others -- musically, theatrically and passionately."

Mötley Crüe announced that they will play the entire Dr. Feelgood album every night of Crüe Fest 2, to celebrate the album's 20th anniversary.

A second stage has been added to the festival through a partnership with Monster Energy. The second stage is expected to have five additional bands performing, with one of these being a local band picked by a local radio station. The local band will open the Monster Energy Stage of Crüe Fest 2. Cavo, Rev Theory, 16 Second Stare, and Shram have been confirmed to be appearing on the second stage.

Trailer Choir is an American country music group composed of vocalists Vinny Hickerson, Crystal Hoyt, and Mark Fortney, known by their respective stage names Big Vinny, Crystal and Butter. In 2006, they signed to Show Dog Nashville, a label owned by Toby Keith. The trio's debut single "Off the Hillbilly Hook" was released in 2008 from the soundtrack to the film Beer for My Horses, in which Keith starred. Following it were the chart singles "What Would You Say" and "Rockin' the Beer Gut", as well as a six-song EP entitled Off the Hillbilly Hook.
