Ayoooooo!

so here we are, the new Shout Out Out Out Out album is finally done. it is called 'Reintegration Time', and it will be in stores in Canada on March 3rd, and in the USA on May 5th. 'Reintegration Time' will be available on CD, as well as a deluxe triple gatefold LP with colored vinyl and included digital download. both formats feature beautiful artwork designed by La Boca ( www.laboca.co.uk )

i've posted a few of the new jams on our myspazz, so be sure to take a listen when you have a moment.

'Reintegration Time' track listing is:
01. Run
02. Guilt Trips Sink Ships
03. Bad Choices
04. Coming Home (Feat. Cadence Weapon)
05. How Do I Maintain Pt. I
06 How Do I Maintain Pt. II
07. One Plus Two Plus Three (Feat. San Serac)
08. Remind Me In Dark Times
09. In The End It's Your Friends
10. Reintegration Time

we kick off the release with a couple shows in Edmonton on Feb 28th and March 1st (the first show looks to be a sellout, so we've added a second night to make sure that no one has to miss out), and Calgary on March 5th.

we will be doing a bit of touring at the end of march, and again at the end of april. i've posted a few of the april dates already, and i'll have the rest of the dates posted within the next few days, so check back in a bit!!!

ok, i think that's it for now!

ayoooooooooo!!!!!

what's good, my dear friends of the internet? is that a properly placed comma? i can't tell. i should know that.

so we have a bunch of shit to talk about. real talk. let's get serial.

next week we head off to nyc for the cmj music marathon thingamabobber. we are playing a bazillion times, and DJing a few times too. please come holler at us if you are joining in the festivities. from there we hit the road and play a handful of shows as we make our way back to chilly edmonton. all of our shows (including the cmj jams) are listed on the ol' myspace page, so check it out to see if we will be putting our heads down and partying through it with you, in your town!

also next week (oct. 21st) we have a new record coming out!!! the long overdue split single with san serac featuring our track 'in the end it's your friends' backed with his version of the shalamar disco classic 'friends' is finally back from the presses. also on there is a remix of each track: our song remixed by san serac, san serac remixed by the paronomasiac (aka, uh... me). this is a vinyl-only 12" single release, but the shit is available digitally via itunes and most other mp3 store type jobbies. in canada you can get a copy of the record at your local vinyl friendly indie record store (if they don't have it, tell them to order some in via outside music), and outside of canada you can hit up the mailorder at www.shoutoutoutoutout.com or www.insound.com . of course if you are one of those wimps who don't own a record player, you can hit up the aforementioned digital download stores. but come on, buy a record player, it's the only format left that matters! word?

we are still hard at work on our album. all of the tracking is finished, and it is about half mixed now. it's looking like we probably won't release it until march, a month which i am generally quite looking forward to. march march along.

speaking of our new album, you can watch extremely nerdy videos of us making that thing on by clicking on the thing that says "check out my videos". i took the videos off the main page because it was getting all bunged up.

yeah yeah yeah yeah. I HAVE HAD A THOUSAND CUPS OF COFFEE AND I AM FREAKING OUT, AAAAAAAAAH!!!!

see you in new york.

uh, so you may have noticed that i posted some videos of us in the studio. be warned, they are very stupid and i pretty much only talk about synthesizers and play a part of one song over and over again. but, hell maybe you people want to see that behind the scenes crap right? RIGHT?!

our recording is going very well, we are really happy with how the new album is shaping up. the videos i posted are all from the first 4 days or so of tracking, and we are now in our fourth week, so i will try to make another video soon that shows some of the "progress".

thanks to everyone that came to our vancouver and winnipeg shows over the past couple weeks, that was fun!!!

holla holla holla if you want tooooooooo!

hey y'all, i realized that all the photos we had on here were oldies, so i just added a whole bunch of new ones. a lot of these pics were just sent to us randomly, so i don't know who took a lot of them. if one of your photos is up here and you would like it to be credited or removed, please let us know, and we'll take care of it!

thanks to everyone who came out to our shows over the past ten days or so! virgin festival in baltimore was especially fun!

oh, and no thanks to the CSS crew who were total assholes to us at our brooklyn show at studio b (i'm pretty sure it wasn't coming from the band, just their tour manager and techs... at least i really hope so)! I don't think anyone has been quite so rude to me in my life.

if you are in edmonton be sure to come out to our shows at planet ze on august 17th and 18th! they are going to be insano.
