Current mood:  bouncy
Category: Music

This is an ideal place for being idealists and not to put down other bands but whatever happened to feel good music - I been told - good for your body - good for your soul? We have got to get back to the roots rock revolution. The time has surely come. Lady GaGa? That's what's in? What if the JoanAss Bros. did a jazz tune would time stop??? or would they just be woefully out of time?

M.I.A. now that's sincere but these days it's almost all reduced to just banner ads and lame soundbytes. Ads with kids dancing around freaking out about new clothes and furnishings. Endless movie promos shoved down our throats for months on end for a 2 week release.  The Flight of the Conchords? Well kudos to you guys, superb on all levels what a really big shoe...Ed Sullivan would be proud of those funk/folkies. It's still just a TV show but a nice little break from the usual suspects...I'd love to change the world and I know just what to do-hoo!....So Say It Loud:

I don't want my eMpTV! I reFUSE to be hoodwinked into believing what my TV tell's me to believe. Let's face it what is hip today might just suck. If this is the place for the new music revolution then there has to be some changes. A revolution without change is a just another rock concert. The revolution will not be televised brothers it will be live. So enough already with the :30 corporate sponsored media saturated crapola put on your old scratchy records and pump up the Victrola!

There needs to be a myspace app that promotes lists of different open networks of independent music and fans where the music sites can easily post their material in a non-invasive way. Kind of a virtual hootenanny. You sign in and get your few tunes to be heard by a bunch of people. The problem is that people only go where they know they want to go based on promo of some kind and are never really compelled to try something new other than falling into the myspace rabbit hole of random artists that are friends of yours or others. This could open up myspace to be the place for music.
