Bubbz appears to be one of those characters of Bristol, his relaxed manner and almost care free approach to life has put him in good stead for what he hopes will be a swift climb up the ladder to success. We sat with him in his local Barber Shop on City Road and the producer/rapper discussed his current single ''Be Easy'' . Which you can pick up in HMV, and buy on Zavvi. He describes his sound as ''Wildhip''. ..............

Who are you?
I am Legend. No I'm 'Bubbz'' aka ''Chief'' aka ''Mr Hard Working'' aka ''I'll Suprise You'' aka ''Dont underestimate me'' aka '' Wildhip'' aka '' Rhyme Minister'' but just call me Bubbz

How old are ?
Old enough to know about Captain Bucky o hare and young enough to be EVA Longoria's toy Boy.

Where are you from?
I'm from LDN via Bristol, England, Europe, Earth the Universe, born as a result of my Ghanaian parents practising gym moves.

Describe what you do for a living?
I make Music, perform, present, act, sell clothes infact i just got an email to be a stylist for a certain someone, so if you want my consultations, myspace me.

Who has inspired you to write and produce music?
Roy Ayres, OutKast, SoSolid, Joe Batan, Mike Skinner, Mos Def the list goes on i get inspired all the time. Just for the record MD and Mp3 i would like to say thank you to the Nigerian traffic warden he certainly inspired me with that fine, if you know what i mean, bliming c*"£.

What do you think of the scene in Bristol firstly, also in the rest of the UK.
Hmm this one, I kind of have a love hate relationship with this topic. I think Bristol is getting there and is a very strong creative generator, but there is not enough of an industry here, most of the music media that drive scenes are based in LDN this therefore limits how far this city can push, but with the likes of yourselves of course, this is changing slightly. But I do feel Bristol needs to feel more comfortable about starting something of there own rather than looking down to LDN all the time. I'm not sure about the rest so it would be wrong for me to comment.

Where is your favourite hang out in Bristol?
Tube, can I get in for free now Bernie? But this said there is to many guys..... that's another thing I find when I go out in Bristol the good music spots don't have enough females, but the spots with hamster poo music have a waterfall of pretty girls , what's that about? this said the ronson gig and I Luv Live actually had a bag of attractive females so maybe i should take that back.

When you go out where can we expect to find you?
You won't find me I'm so black, I blend in with the background.

Imagine yourself in Five years, where can you see yourself, what could you see yourself achieving?
Two quality albums an EP, a Mars Award .....oh sorry I mean Mercury Award, a pop belly, Wifey and a mini me still swimming waiting for his break.....

If you had to shoot one of the Jacksons who would it be? And Why?
Janet. What the hell she doing with Pee wee Hermin, o sorry i mean Jermaine Dupri, come on Janet leave him for me. i'll pay for your food stamps and get you a nice P reg Nissan Micra ...(laugh)

When are you next performing at I Love Live?
Not sure you'll have to start a campaign to get me at the next one, so the promoter will ask me to go down, I mean the crowd loved the last one so i'm good to go again really.

How important is that kind of event for Black and Urban music?
Very....it acts as a platform for many Artists, and a showcase of what Bristol has to offer, what's good about it too is it acts as a building block for a stronger scene and industry particularly in Bristol.

Day 3-Day 14

.. ..

At this point everything start to merge into 1 there are no separate days only studios, night life and lectures, so what can I remember…. Okay so it's the big day, they take us to the building, an old warehouse, its crazy in here some of the most amazing art work, and with the studio set up so dope your high from one sniff.

.. ..

More mingling with fellow artists, followed by intros from the Red Bull Dream Team Mani and Torsten as well as Steve Spacek, Patrick Pulsinger, Marco Passarani and yes Ben Zinc the man who made 138trek, yes I said it 138 trek, one of the tracks I first started rhyming to.

.. ..

Lots of food and drink, internet access around, we party until 6pm then head to the Russians Club, well apartment, and believe it or not its numbered 101, the parties here go on till 8am in the morning then back in the studio/lecture hall for 11am, it a hard life when you want that music prize huh. We set the tone for what will be repeated everyday

.. ..

Second day comes along and we are all asked individually to come to the couch to introduce ourselves and answer some crazy questions drawn from a pack of cards, one of my questions is what's your favourite accent, my answer is Spanish/Latina (so if you got this accent yell at me, 07945------------). Lots of jamming and getting familiar, kicking off and as usual we eat a lot and party a lot into the next day.

.. ..

Next day arrives and we are lucky to receive lectures and guidance from the mighty Wally Badarou this doesn't stop here, as the weeks go, added to list are The Mizell Brother ( the guys who did a lot of ....Jackson.... 5 work), Athur Verocai, Greg Wilson, and Joe Batan. Joe Batan definitely stood out as the most interesting lecture, that man is a legend man, Hollywood need to make a movie about his life.

.. ..

The heavy week takes its toll and im feeling ill with the flu, which later came to be named the Red Bull Fever (trust me no one escaped everybody had it at one time). Symptoms included ringing ears, strange desire to always be in the studio, itchy throat, headache and runny nose. Due to this I make it to the main event on Saturday late, but catch Joe Batan's set. Joe Batans set is truly of the scales, followed by a out of this world set by Steve Spacek and Benji B. Saturday becomes Sunday and I'm meant to go Zoo but im too ill and my gigs today, night falls and of course I put on a show to remember. The crowd now knows how to use boom and brap, they've also learnt my catch phrase Okayyyyyyyyyy.

.. ..

More days of me staying over night in the studio, followed by lectures from Krust and Black Milk and its all coming to an end one more gig to go with me and Blak milk on the bill. I do my thing, I blow up shows (boooooooooom).

.. ..

The last day is upon us its becoming emotional a lot of sad faces coz its all over. we say our goodbyes take our photos and have the last super, with the last party, at the academy which spills over into Honkey Tonks. For those who don't know Honkey Tonks is the Venue with a Dj booth in the female toilet.

.. ..

O yes how can I forget this,… some where during the week I start to learn how dope Abelton live is (go and buy it or bootleg it), and in true superstar fashion I have the Channel 4 crew chasing me around, so watch out for the documentary.

Day 2

''Wake up shit shower and shave''- Sparks. I'm woken up by the room service. I don't know why, but I think the maid fancies me, coz shes hanging around my door in the sexist of poses and they don't usually do that, maybe I been watching too many pornos?

.. ..

Its lunch/brunch time with Hellojed and the Russians (a great meal I must say). We discuss music being a full time job. It appears I'm the only punk who has a full time non musical job in the room (This has to end so buy the CD please, or if you got some music work for me let me know asap). Meals done and its time for a stroll through town, everything looks like the ....USA...., except there's a lot more Asians, by this I mean Chinese, Japanese's etc etc. The weather is cold, even though its spring. Also like I noticed the night before there seems to be a lot of good looking women. There are a few trendy shops, and even newsagents that have legal porn shops in the back, but I got no money- damm I really wanted to buy sexy legs pt 100, only joking okkkayyyyy
