Hey Kids,

       We're thrilled to announce that we finished first @ Friday's round one of the Emergenza Festival @ Church Club!! We beat out seven other great bands, and we cannot thank all of you who came to the show and voted for us. We'll be participating in round 2 @ the legendary Paradise Rock Club in Cambridge / Boston later in May. We'll have details / tickets next week.

 i thought id give you guys an update on shows
and shit, cause there has been a great deal of people visiting the
myspace every day.
The URI TV News Talent Battle thingamajigger has been postponed to a later date that is tba. When we know you will know.

We
are doing some sort of festival at Johnson and Whales sometime in May.
As the requirements of the show necessitate that 3/4 of the band be
students at JWU, we have enlisted the help of a JWU hip hop dance crew
to get us that required fraction. Should be very interesting to see how
someone could properly dance to our music :-)

Also, we are currently trying to figure out an Ocean Mist show down in Matunuck Rhode Island. When we know you'll know.

Also
we have just procured the usage of a recording studio in the memorial
union at URI. We will be heading in soon for a full album, once we
figure out exactly what songs we're doing.

There are also a few new songs on the backburner at the moment, so come to the shows if you wanna see em!

        So here's the good word. Sunshine Riot will be on 91.5 FM, Tues Dec 9 @ 830 pm. We'll be playing a few songs live as well as spinning a few tracks off of our upcoming EP, The Cure For Sleep. The event is part of a Boston wide battle of the bands sponsored by Rolling Stone Magazine. If ya' hava a moment please vote for us @ wmfo.org so we can move on to the next round.
