Check out this Blog- http://speedglueandmusic.blogspot.com
The second band called
Disastroid was fucking awesome. The perfect mix of harvey milk, jesus
lizard, melvins, nomeansno, and danzig all while tuning it into their
own unique sound. it was everything that has been good about rock music
and what is good about rock music now. I highly recommend these guys
and it was nice to be completely blown away by an opening band i had
never heard a note from before.

Current mood: virginal
I guess blogs are the future and everything so we should probably be writing here more often. In that spirit:
Chad is off touring with the Grateful Dead again as their drum tech. Next time you see him, embarass him appropriately. In the meantime our buddy Braden McGaw is sitting in. He will be taking names and rocking faces at our next show at the Hemlock Tavern on May 8. I have a robot! Come check it out!
We are underway with the artwork for our upcoming CD release but if you have any drawings to submit give them to us. We will use them. Maybe even for the cover.
What else -- check out the new G.I. Joe cartoons on Adult Swim.com, they are epic -- eat your cegetables -- stay in school --
- Travis

"Twelve Galaxies is a night club usually devoted to very loud bands you've never heard of with names like Flamingo Gunfight and Disastroid, so it was an odd and wonderful sight to see it on a Sunday afternoon, taken over by families." http://hyperlexicon.blogspot.com/2008/07/justin-roberts-pop-fly-music-review-and.html

http://209.85.141.104/search?q=cache:9HPCMF7LRk0J:www.bascene.com/+disastroid&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=47&gl=us After a brief hiatus described by Enver of Disastroid as "A bit of a flat tire", Disastroid is back and rockn' it with "new rims and they are better". Disastroid's song Terrorists off their recent album is BAScene's download of the month.

What a bizarre little punk/funk/blues jam. The five tracks on the Disastroid EP include a number of influences, but it is unclear why they are there. On the first song, "Broken," the band seems to dumb it down into plain-Jane territory. They redeem themselves later but it is hard not to think Disastroid is not playing it safe. They could be a better band, a smarter band. I would like to see more of that.

Attn: fellow rockers and rocklings Disastroid is back and better than ever - It has been a few months but we didn't give in to the mainstream give up mentallity, we just got a flat tire - which happens when you drive a lot- We parted ways with our Bass player but found a new soldier to fill the spot, Chad traveled the country supporting Les Claypools drummer for a few, and then we were plagued with a run of bad luck - Enver got hit in the eye with a champagne cork and Chad chipped his tooth - twice - fortunately our new bassist Travis is healthy and his eyes and teeth are in good condition. We are recording at Hyde st in July and hopefully going to be getting you a full lenght album soon for all your patience - but you can hear some of our new tunes already as they seep into the public - seems we have an insider -
