We release our first Irish single in nearly 3 years today and what a relief it is to finally have it out there. It is available for download from I-tunes, Amazon and Amie Street. It will be available from more download sites soon and we will have vinyl to sell in the coming weeks too.

We will be playing some Irish shows next week (listed below) to promote the single so come to any or all of the gigs if possible. We are really looking forward to Psychofest in particular. Always a great day, night and usually for the rest of the weekend if you know what I'm saying (wink wink nudge nudge).

On a sour note, we will not be playing at the Planet Festival in Czech Republic due to some organizational problems. The festivals that is, not our own!

Anyway, the single is Bass Balls. The song is on our page. Take a listen to it, and if you like it, buy it. It will set you back no more than a euro!

Cheers,

The Manzi...

The legend that is BP Fallon has featured Humanzi as his 'Wang Dang Doodle Band Of The Week' on his online radio show on BTR.
You can listen to it at the link below:

http://www.breakthruradio.com/index.php?show=6642

As well as the 4 tracks he plays from our new album, he plays a shit load of great tunes from other various bands and features a great interview with the legendary Leonard Cohen speaking about the messed up genius of a man that is Phil Spector.

Check it out,

Cheers,

The Manzi.

So we just finished shooting the video for 'Bass Balls'. This will be our first single from 'the Kingdom of Ghosts' sessions. We all feel that it is our best work to date and it represents the band better than anything we have done in the past.

The single will be released on digital download worldwide at the end of Feb (more details coming very soon) and it will also be available on limited edition vinyl in Ireland, the UK and Germany. As this is our first release from the new album we will be touring hard starting in February. Watch this space for more details.

Below are some photos from the day of the shoot taken by Eoin McLoughlin. We would like to say a big thanks to everyone who helped with the video. It's very nice to see people who are so passionate about the work they do.

Video coming next week.

Cheers

The Manzi.

Here's the first installment of our "Live at the Funk Haus" sessions. We recorded and filmed the whole lot of our new album, as well as some of our favourite covers, live in one night. Originally the recording was to go ahead in the basement of our studio but as we set up the gaffer came down and kicked us out for fire hazard reasons!

Luckily, the good people of the Funk Haus let us set up totally last minute. Some songs worked better than others and we where pretty tired as we didn't even start the first track till midnight. Thanks to Lindsey, Dawn, Ville and our main man, brother Janne Helsinki.

Enjoy

Shauny.

Well we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to the gig in Whelans on Saturday night. It was one of those shows that will be hard to forget. The stress levels were high before the gig but it didn't take long to put that behind us once we hit the stage. The crowd and the vibe were just amazing.

Here are a few photos that were taken by Cormac Figgis. I think they capture the vibe. If anyone has any decent photos or clips of the night, please send them on.

Cheers

The Manzi.

It has been a while since we last put up a blog so now is a good time to fill you all in on what we have been up to over the last four months.....

We have been recording in the old DDR radio broadcasting building, situated in the darkest depths of East Berlin...this has had a huge influence on us and the sound of the album. We recorded 14 songs in 14 days. The ironic thing is that we go back to Dublin next week to start the mixing process. Once they're done and dusted we will be putting some tracks and a release date up on myspace.

As regards playing the album live, it has been an unbelievable experience touring the new songs in Germany, Austria, Scandinavia and Switzerland. We can't wait to let this bad boy loose and get back on the road again.

We play on the 19th of July in Dublin with one of our big heroes, MC5. This is a gig not to be missed!

See ya'll soon,
love and rockets.

Humanzi.
