I had a really extra horrible Zombie Nightmare the other night... I reckon it would make a good film!

In my dream even if the zombies touched you you would become a zombie.. but it would take a while for the rotting look to come about.. And i got touched by a zombie, and then my friend Sam was screaming and trying to hold me and I was trying to stop her so she didnt become a zombie too.. but she ended up being made a zombie too.  Then we all got rounded up by the fully fledged zombies and split into groups and they were taking women off in groups to mate with them, and all these women were coming back covered in pus and gore...yuk!

Luckily me and Sam escaped, but we had been touched by zombies so it wasnt really a happy ending

The idea for The Johnsons first came about in 2002, when Spoon and Jake met for a few pints in their local ..Basingstoke.. pub. They decided to put together a band that would incorporate elements of the music they love: Punk, Blues, and Rock 'n' Roll.....

They first recruited Jim, a drummer they had both worked with in the past and started developing material. The next recruit was Deenie who Spoon knew from drunken dancing at a local club. With Jake, Ian and Deenie all writing material the songs started taking shape.....

Soon The Johnsons had established themselves as a solid anarchic and flamboyant act on the local music scene and found themselves a loyal local fanbase. 2006 saw them focussing on
....London.... town (with the odd scurry elsewhere) and the feedback from audiences has been fantastic.

....

By the summer of '06, with four EPs under the belt, Deenie had morphed into a feline, zombie nightmare known as Pussycat and Jim had decided to retire from the wild side of life to follow the mild side.  ....

.. ..

Pussycat then introduced the other remaining Johnsons to the wild, rock 'n' roll 'sticksman' Antz and The Johnsons were reborn.....

.. ..

After several scorching gigs, Antz was firmly established as the man on the stool behind The Johnsons and their quirky adventures into Blues, Punk, Rockabilly and Zombie Rock 'n' Roll continue and grow.....

.. ..

The band will be working with producer Alex McGowan January/February '07 on a new EP to be released in Spring '07.....

We are recording a new EP early next year.. yay!!!!

We are recording it with Alex Macgowan who has worked with Tricky, Josh Homme (QOTSA), Stewart Copeland, JJ Jecalik (Art Of Noise) and Duncan Bridgeman (1 Giant Leap). He has also achieved a good measure of success through his previous band The Starseeds with two critically acclaimed albums There Is Enough For Everyone and Parallel Life the title track from which has been used by cult TV show Six Feet Under..

He's also in a cool band too called The Future Shape of Sond, check 'em out!
