In October 2009 Destroy Your World has become an "Editor's Pick", being featured on the homepage of the German artist portal Regioactive, and #1 in the punk/rock top hundred of MyOwnMusic, another artist platform.

Update on December 10th, 2009: Our song Who Told Me Lies became "Hit Of The Day" on MyOwnMusic. This is the highest grade awarded by the editorial staff.

Update on January 2nd, 2010: Who Told Me Lies got also selected as an "Editor's Pick" on the homepage of Regioactive.

On October 11th The Swipes were featured by the radio (Hessischer Rundfunk, YouFM) - once again. Host Raffa Jungbauer introduced our song Destroy Your World.

Update on October 20th: Destroy Your World got also airplay on the public radio station MDR Sputnik.

Update November 1st: The Swipes were special guest at the popular, prime time radio show hr3 madhouse finale - presenting their new track Destroy Your World, being interviewed and playing their song Going Nowhere live and unplugged (watch an excerpt of the show in our music player).

Update on November 13th: Destroy Your World got also introduced by Radio BOB, a Hessian commercial radio station. See podcast for listening and download.

Update on December 13th: YouFM played the finalized version of Destroy Your World.

Update on December 15th: MDR Sputnik played the finalized version of Destroy Your World as well.

Silent Alarm got selected as the opening track of a rock sampler, issued in October 2009 by the German artist portal Rod-gau.de (for a start in a number of 500 copies). The compilation includes also songs of the band III, a parallel project of our singer/guitarist, and The Straight A, a parallel project of our bass player. Get a copy on one of our forthcoming gigs!

Hesse's largest radio station Hessischer Rundfunk selected Silent Alarm for its "Soundcheck" show, broadcasted on its youth channel YouFM.
Furthermore, songs of The Swipes are being played by several webradios - amongst them, with heavy rotation, the Bavarian GRUNDFUNK.net and NSR 2 from North Rhine-Westphalia, Somojo Radio & GBOB (U. K.) and Musipower.tv (USA/Mexico).

At the beginning of July 2008 The Swipes became featured artist on the international artist portal BeSonic (where we led the reggae and the rock'n'roll popularity lists at that time). A quote from a BeSonic editor's review: "The Swipes do what is necessary to make it fun and not boring. Absolutely on the safe side in the matter of taste!"
In May 2008 we'd also been featured on the welcome site of Germany's leading artist portal Regioactive - with Going Nowhere as editor's pick.
