Please note that due to circumstances beyond our control (but not ticket sales as they are well up on 2008), we have no choice but to make the event smaller for this year. This means that all advance tickets have now sold out! ....

There may be some minor line up changes, but the Waveform Psy, Archangel^ Breaks, Gaia Chill and Cats Cradle Open Air stage line ups will be mostly intact. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate the riff raff/sunrise stage as planned.....

FRIDAY 29th Waveform Weekend

As the first part of Waveform weekend, tonight we welcome back RED EARTH. Chris Wizard (galactic) and Jess Sparkle (electric) whose DJ style, earlier described as 'psychill with an eastern flavour', now encompasses a diversity ranging from folkyelectronica to shoegaze to psydub, through a wide range from beatless ambient to progressive, often favouring that ambiguous space between grooving and blissing out, dark electronic or light, melodic and fluffy! They are accompanied on occasion by a talented djembe player and a wonderfully graceful fusion belly dancer, which adds an extra dimension to their sets. Sometimes together and sometimes not, they have played at many parties and festivals around the country including Glastonbury, Glade, Sunrise Celebration, Big Green Gathering, Offworld and Waveform, whilst also hosting the Tranceformation parties in Glastonbury during the winter season. Side projects include Fluid Radio and Waveform Festival production. Also included in tonights Sonic mix is inSpiral resident AVIVA and DAN CROSLEY of Fluid Radio.

WAVEFORM RETURNS

Waveform, the sustainable dance music festival, returns with an exciting new location. Last year Waveform established itself as an award wining, environmentally friendly event with an incredible line up of cutting edge dance music. This year, it's back with an all night music license and even more musical variety.

This years' Waveform will be held at a green field site, close to the M4 with easy access from ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Bristol and London, but far enough away from any neighbours to mean that we can extend our music policy around the clock!

FIVE STAGES

This year the Main Stage and Gaia Chill areas return, but are joined by a vastly expanded Trance Arena which will host some of the finest international DJ's and live acts around amongst incredible sound and decor. The Green Village will expand into a whole area, powered exclusively by wind and sun and featuring our live music café and ambient spaces. There will also be plenty of breaks, electro, dubstep, minimal and dub to keep all tastes in quality dance music happy.

EARTHDANCE

Waveform is proud to be part of Earthdance, the world's largest synchronised music and dance event for world peace. At midnight on Saturday night, joined by over 300 events in 60 other countries, Waveform will celebrate the Prayer for Peace - A moment of unifying intention for world unity. A portion of Waveform's proceeds go to Earthdance as well as our nominated charity, Ecoshelter.

GREEN ETHOS

We will be proving more composting toilets, extending our recycling and re-use policies and finding many other ways to minimalise our environmental impact and give a little back to the planet. There will also be a full programme of talks, workshops, saunas, showers, healing, therapies and organic food to feed the mind, body and soul.
