Meet the new member of the ever-growing aaahh-family, fanfares for Emilie Lund. Her Emilie Lund EP is available as a free download on our homepage. Although it's always a good thing to visit aaahh-records.net and browse through the pages, we've got some time saving direct download-links: click here for mp3 and here for ogg.

As every aaahh-release, this ep has been released under a Creative Commons-Licence, meaning it is basically free. If you like it, please buy a cd from Emilie, donate some money, invite her to play at your club etc. All of that would be really great.

Instantly after putting their feet back onto home-turf from their tour in 2008, The Wind Whistles grabbed their guitar and bass and gathered with friends in the studio to capture ideas that came into their heads fresh from a summer in Europe and luckily for all of us…they hit the record button! After Window Sills, their brilliant 2008 debut, we are very proud to release the brand new second full-length album from the Canadian folk duo, entitled: Animals Are People Too.

It's the start of spring and we are happy to welcome a new band along our side! ne:o are five young gentlemen from Dresden/Germany, who have been trying to wear away the boundaries between electro and electronic guitars since their very start in 2003. After their debut musikkritik, their second album illoj is now released on aaahh-records.

Oh, it was wonderful. Thanks goes to all the great people at the venues and to all the people that came to the shows. It has been a great experience for us and for Julia, too.

Some of you might know that there was a limited tour-ep available. At each show there was exactly one tour ep on CD available. Because only one person was lucky to win the CD, we decided to release the tour EP as soon as possible. It includes 7 previously unreleased tracks and some live recordings. It will be available as a free download. We can not yet say when it will be ready but it will be soon, i guess.

It's been almost four months now that we have released Entertainment for the Braindead's "Hydrophobia". Since then it has been downloaded over 20.000 times and the album has gained a lot of positive reviews which have contributed to spreading her music to people around the world. Some of these people have felt inspired and took the time to remix a couple of Entertainment for the Braindead's songs. We love it - not only because the songs turned out great, but also because using an artist's piece of work to create a new one reflects our viewpoint on what music is about. Art never is static, it's growing with the people who get in touch with it.

Keyboard Rebel, my fellow music-lovers, could be your new favourite band. For sure it is our new favourite band. Due to a fortunate coincidence their debut Pop Grenade happens to be our third release. As usual we offer a free digital download, but you can buy an old fashioned CD as well. By the way, the band won't earn a single cent selling these copies. They donate everything to Amnesty International. Sounds too good to be true, but it is true.

Describing themselves as indie mavericks, Keyboard Rebel use typical popband instruments plus some fancy extra items like an accordion and a cornet to form fresh and charming poptunes with some deeper and thoughtful moments in it. Regarding their political aim, it is obvious that the band offers some socio- critical remarks in their lyrics as well. However, the idea of pop is never abolished and all the songs on their debut full- length album Pop Grenade are damn catchy. You better take a listen!
