Gillian Welch and Iron & Wine to headline first-ever No Depression Festival.

All-Day Event In Seattle Area Also Features
Patterson Hood & The Screwtopians, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Seattle Roots-Music All-Star Revue, And Zee Avi.

All Ages / General Admission

Seattle Theatre Group (STG Presents), Live Nation, and The Lakeside Group present the first-ever No Depression Festival, sponsored by the pioneering and influential roots-music magazine and website.

The festival will take place Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington, just outside Seattle.

Iron & Wine will be performing a benefit for the Midwives Alliance of North America at the Paramount Theatre, Austin, TX on July 27, 2009. Glen Hansard (The Swell Season, The Frames) will open the evening.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Midwives Alliance of North America.

Tickets go onsale Friday, June 19, 2009.

The Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA) was established in 1982 as a professional organization for all midwives, recognizing the diversity of educational backgrounds and practice styles within the profession. Iron & Wine will be performing at George Wein's Folk Fest 50 (Newport, RI) on August 1. This is the 50th anniversary of the Newport Folk Festival, with a slightly different name, and a great lineup has been scheduled (The Decemberists, Fleet Foxes, Gillian Welch, Billy Bragg, Neko Case, and many others).

Iron & Wine's Around The Well (2CD / 3LP) collection of rarities and b-sides is available today, Tuesday, May 19, 2009.

To celebrate the release, along with the end of this round of tour dates, the band will appear on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon tonight and also perform at Other Music (NYC) this evening.
