As many of you may know…we were slotted to tour the ....U.K..... from October 15 – 27.  We ended up not playing a single note! ....

Tom, Eric, and myself, having U.S. Passports had a hard time with customs (QUITE a hard time actually). Jorge got right through as he has an international passport.  So, when I say “we”, it refers to the 3 of us.....

We were questioned as we went through the UKBA (United Kingdom Border Agency) as to what our purpose was of coming there.  We had no idea that you needed a “Certificate of Sponsorship or Work Visa” to play there (even playing non-paying gigs).  This certificate/visa takes about 8 weeks to get…so we were screwed!  I guess this is a new thing, from what I have been told. Apparently U.S. Customs pulled some crap like this with some bands from the ....U.K..... that were trying to get over here recently. So basically the British customs is seeing it as “tit for tat.” This new law was applied in August 2009! ....

Anyways, they detained us for 5 hours, searched our bags, fingerprinted us, took our pictures, took our passports and made us feel like “international criminals”  Ha ha!  I’m like Jason Bourne now! ....

They booked us on the first flight out the next morning. They told us that if we didn't get on that flight, we would be banned from the ....UK.... for 10 years.  The immigration service, in their infinite compassion and wisdom allowed us to spend a few hours in ....Manchester.... till we needed to report back to the airport. Within those few hours we concocted so many different scenarios to get us back into the ....UK.... to play our gigs.  However, they told us that if we want to re-enter the country, we would need to provide the certificate of sponsorship or a work visa. If not, we would be arrested. ....

We got the best rest we could in the airport that night,…got up…had to be escorted to the plane and,  once we were above ....U.S..... soil we were given our passports back.  ....

The good thing was that the head of airport security was very accommodating and put us on first class going back!  Plus,…we flew there first class via a stand-by connection at Delta.  SO…to sum up our ....U.K..... trip…it was like a limo ride to hell and a limo ride back from hell!!! Ha ha ha!....

Hi Everybody...

It's been a little while since our last update, but we have been really busy trying to finish our full length CD that should be out by Spring 2008. All the tracks are already mixed and we are just waiting to get them back from Mastering. We really like the new tracks and they sound great!!!
The new songs were produced by Ted Comerford and Justin Thomas and mixed by Jeff Juliano. They are now in Tom Baker's hands at Precision Mastering. We are hoping to have the CD ready by the end of April. We'll post the release date as soon as we can…

In the mid time, we will be playing shows in and out of town for the next few months and then we'll have our CD release party...

Also, we would like to thanks all the people involved in getting this CD out. We have great friends working with us and making the process a lot easier… Plus they are one of the most talented group of people we've worked with… Thanks guys!!!

Our next show is at AKA Lounge, on Wednesday March 12th. Doors open at 9pm and we go on at 10:30pm. It should be a fun one… Come out and listen to some of the new material and support local music!!

Yo, we know its been a long time since we've posted anything new and exciting, so I (Preston) figured I would let you in on a few things!  First off, we are out of the studio and waiting for all of the mixes to get back to us.  The mixes we do have sound fantastic and we are very happy with them!  We just had our first rehearsal on Monday in almost 3 months, which was much needed by all of us.  Playing together is something that we all sometimes take for granted, but after MONTHS of not playing together, you really feel a void in your life!  We needed the time off though, for sure.  The task at hand now is tying to capture alot of the magic of the recordings in the live setting, which is not always easy.  Also, we are planning on having new pics and artwork done soon, so we will update all of our websites with the new media as it is completed.  As soon as we have all of the completed mixes in our possession, we will be sending it off to get mastered, which could take 2-4 weeks we're told.  After that, (if we have any money left!!) we are getting it duplicated and.....BADA BING, new AGR 11 song full length record out in Summer 2008!!!  Our first show back around Orlando will most likely be the "CD release" Party!  We have no other details worked out as of yet.

We're gonna tear the stage apart.  Be there!!!!

afterglow rAdio is stoked to announce our CD-release party at none other than The Social in downtown Orlando on Wednesday, November 22nd.  We are playing with bands we personally hand-picked to make this one helluva rock 'n roll show, 7 Blue Skies and Audible Effect (there's even another band TBA)!  And yes, the 22nd IS the day before Thanksgiving, so nobody has work the next day, making it one of THE BEST nights all year to go downtown.  Come out, rock out, party out, and eat Turkey meat all the next day when you wake up to nurse that hangover!!!!  Check out our "shows" section in the next few days for exact set times and how much the cover will be, as we are still working out minor details.  Mark your calendars people, YOU DO NOT wanna miss this!
