UNC Chapel Hill called yesterday inviting me to enter the MFA program in Fall 2007.   I said I'd love to.

on 'closer to solved' you hear mark creegan on banjo and second voice.  you also hear al licks on lead guitar, as well as in her role as a member of the dirty choir: jessica meierer, heather stafford, brandi gil, shawn lightfoot, jessica pounds, joe gaskin (thanks, son!). as ever, matt gray provides the excellent drums.

on 'it was you who tilled the soil of my rooty mind' the beats are by Sean Smith and the doorbell is by Robert McMullen. that's Harvest Gil on harmony cries.

many of these people can be found at myspace or elsewhere online... each talented in their own right -- far more than i for sure.

in april elephant see recorded 'porch guest', a six song mini concert, all in one track (it's all one song on the disc) which spawned the series now being called 'the porch sessions' or 'porch guests' or 'that tuesday night shit'.

on late tuesday nights a group of randoms/regs at the porch or the building out back hear and engage in a concert by some brilliance or other.

artists are invited by buck mulligan to participate in these sessions, and though audience space is limited, inquiries about attending will be considered.
