Afternoon fellow tash growers,

We have been busy for the past two weeks perfecting our Jensens ...

... we'll probably put some photos up once they can actually be seen by the naked eye! Craig's slipped off his top lip yesterday in the blustery conditions! Now to the serious business...

We've pretty much finished all our demos for the EP, Stiletto Tongue, which will be released in March, and will be jam packed with new stuff you never thought could be played by a human!

Just the small matter of recording it for real now. Craig "Big Ron" O'Callaghan will be listening to a metronome on repeat on his iPod for the next week and we'll  take it from there...

More importantly, we've got some really good feedback on the Mad Hatter's Ball from these lovely folks ...

Tickets from ticketmaster!!!

We'll also be sendin out some acoustic/live videos of some of the new tracks over the next fortnight so keep yer peepers on the facebook. If we haven't got your email, fire it on so we can send you the videos...

In the meantime, we're playing a little freebie upstairs in Whelan's on Wexford Street on Saturday, November 28 so hopefully we'll see all/some/one of you there!

Laters,

John Jensen, Graeme Gooch & Tosh (from the Bill - what a tash)

To the faithful,

Our midnight show TONIGHT at Whelan's has been postponed. Josh Ritter has been signing boobs upstairs there after his gigs this week and that trend is to continue tonight.  In fairness, I would kinda rather have Josh sign my boobs at midnight than listen to myself sing. Apologies for the short notice, but it is, indeed, out of our control.

However, in a Boots-esque offer, the lovely folk at Whelan's have offered us two midnight shows to replace this one. So we're now playing midnight shows upstairs at Whelan's on:

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12

Do come along, bring a friend or ask that guy you've known since high babies if he'd be your date (unless, of course, you went to an all boys school - that might not go down so well)

Laters,

Real "Small" Fish.

Well it's totally Baltic out again, I've totally cream-crackered my back (again) and Cheryl Cole's new single just assaulted my ears. On the plus side, old-school Adam West Batman is on the box and six bars of chocolate could change anyone's mood.

Just a quick cheers to everyone who stayed out late to catch us at Crawdaddy, you are much appreciated. Also, we did an interview with the lovely folks at Heinekenmusic.ie a couple of days ago so you can check that out ... here http://heinekenmusic.ie/interviews/642/autoban/

We're back from London about a week now, still sporting slightly yellar complexions and this season's Burberry collection. It was a weekend of excess: drink, sleep, food, man-ginas. In between all that we played two (to maintain a theme) totally fuckin' awesome gigs, one in Brixton the other in Camden. Without doubt two of our best shows as a "power trio". Thought I'd slip that in and wait for the questions... We made it back in one piece (or three) minus one swallowed bank card, one passport (which was later returned) and one man's dignity ("Aw yew an Awsenal fan? I don't wanna put you in a fackin situation here ... are you a fackin' United fan? *Cue one red face and an awkward silence... We've been invited over to play a couple more shows there in November, which is cool, of course.

For the moment, though, we play our first Dublin show since July on September 25 at Club Psychotic Reaction, Crawdaddy. Onstage around the half 10 mark. Hope you lot come along for a more streamlined yet pumped version of autoban. Some new songs from our next release, which we start demoing over the next couple of weeks, shall be donned.

I want my baby back baby back baby back baby back,

Ribs

Current mood:  animated
Ladies,

We've been mighty shy guys on the myspace front of late. I'll make no excuses ... we joined facebook ... do stop by and poke us at some stage.

We're just back from Roisin Dubh's where we played with a bunch of awesome Kildaremen called Kill City Defectors in front of a bunch of awesome americans who thought we were, well, AWESOME - which was ... you get it. Great weekend and a massive thanks to Iain and the lads, as well as Gugai for running what is the best venue in the country.

We're off to London on the 28th, so holed up in rehearsals at the moment finetuning our cockney slang (we're up to transporter 3 now). We play the Brixton Albert on Friday, Aug 28 and Dublin Castle on Sunday, Aug 30. There will be alot of *Distractions (Karl) but we are really lookin forward to it. As usual, we're drivin' from Wales to London through the night ... a classic Autoban manoeuvre at this stage. If yer anywhere between James's Street and Oxford street we've a spare seat in the car.

Lastly, the remix of Sirens will be available for streaming in the next week or so, but in the meantime get into Tower Records and buy a copy of the single!! Come on folks, it's a beautiful thing. There's also some hazy plans for an animated video for This City's Fashions and we're expecting a delivery of a remix of the tune in the next fortnight.

You'll hear it here first peeps. Now tell us your news (TV3 style),

The video for Sirens has been chosen for screening at Bray Music Video Festival at the weekend (Friday, I believe). A huge thanks, again, to the Souljacker lads and lass and Sophie Merry. To mark the occasion we'll be playin' some songs alongside Tidal District and Murder of Crows on Friday night in the Harbour Bar in Bray after the screening of the videos.

Sirens/This City's Fashions (plus Sirens Straglers remix) will be exclusively available from Tower Records, Wicklow Street, from Friday, June 26 for €3.

We'll be doin' an instore at 5pm on the 26th, so hopefully you'll come along and throw some serious shapes while we attempt to do the same. Then, later that night, we're off up to Captain America's, Tallaght, for a wee gig/party til the wee hours. Free entry. Hope yez can make it.

Mownin' Guv'nors!

We're headin' over to london tonight and tomorrow (via boat and plane respectively) for some showcase antics in the Troubadour, Earls Court. For anyone who's knockin around the area it's an invite-only thing but do come along for beers afterwards.

We're also delighted to announce that, due to your support, and in spite of the 'recession', we've sold out of our initial run of Sirens singles. As a result we've decided to re-issue Sirens/This City's Fashions EXCLUSIVELY to Tower Records from June 26. The sparkly new disc will also feature a swanky remix of Sirens, which was done by Dublin's finest The Straglers.

A massive thanks to Jay for that!!

We shall be doing an instore on June 26 @ 5pm to mark the occasion, so no need for a babysitter ... bring the kids!! We'll also be partyin afterwards with a gig up in Invasion @ Captain America's, Tallaght so hope to share a glass of Tallafornia's finest with yez!

There'll be plenty of photos goin' up from London, so don't feel left out... The question is who's gonna be missin an eyebrow come Sunday!?

Pass the Dutchy on the left-hand side,

Reg Dwight

Howyaz queefs,
Just a short message to say cheers to the girls from SoundOut Promotions for puttin' on a great night in The Roost in Maynooth last night - fillin' us full of beer and triangular sangatches...

We played as a three-piece for the first time which we coped with delightfully, although there were some glum faces on stage ... particularly gaggs'

Murph will be welcomed back with open arms for the gig on the 23rd after his move to Hollywood and male modelling contract fell through (somethin bout his elongated barse) ... we look forward to his angular rock tendencies.

Again, cheers to everyone who made plenty of noise in maynooth last night, twas a great night. Hope to see all yez soon.

Dobro pozhalovat' comrades,

In these baltic conditions we decided against posters for the whelan's gig
and instead have etched the details in frost on their windows with our
shank-like nipples.

Well maybe not gaggs...

We've been busy doin all sorts on balcony's and radio stations and Orin's
been steadily applyin the tanning moisturiser, so hopefully
yez can make it down (or up) to Whelan's (UPSTAIRS folks - Upstairs gooood, downstairs baaaad)
on Friday night for some slow dancin'.

There's 10 FREEBIES in to be had, just message on here.

Gaggs is also on the hunt for a date for the debs...

watch out,

Shaun Michaels
