Alas we can not make it to this years SDCC. Too far to go and too little time. Not to mention the weak GB Pound making trips abroad that much more expensive. So, in spite of our absence, we wish everyone we know, and those we don't, a wonderful Comic-Con weekend.

Wonder Women of America appears in various publications this month including an excellent 6 page feature in the UK's leading style magazine, Dazed and Confused. There's a bunch of full page images and a short interview with photographer, Ruth, and editor/writer, Russell.

There's also a great 3 page feature in Germany's Life/Streetstyle magazine, Lodown. More images and an article written by the infamous Vincent Carducci.

The release date for the book is almost upon us. First copies will hit the streets during Comic-Con week. US distributor Strangeco will sell copies at SDCC (booth 4629) and later direct from their online store.

Back in the UK Amos will start selling copies this coming weekend from their own online store. And from next week the book should start appearing in better book stores across the UK.

Thursday 24th July will see Strangeco team up with G4 TV to host a party in downtown San Diego to celebrate Comic-Con 2008 and the release of Wonder Women of America. We will travel from the UK to attend and we hope some of the women who feature in the book will join us to celebrate the launch. Should be a great evening for all in attendance.

At last we have seen finished copies of the book and we are loving it! We've had a handful of advanced copies for press and they look great. We should have first copies for sale in the US in time for San Diego Comic-Con. It's been two years since we had the original idea and now it's finally happening!

After months of collating, organising, editing, writing, design work, reprographics, proofing, and a bit of backwards/forwards with the printers, we finally have a set of proofs we could sign off on. All is looking good and we are are now officially on press. Looks like we will have ourselves a book! Here's hoping for a trouble free print run!
