Well, we had an interesting set last Saturday in Jersey City. Last minute the event relocated to the Iron Monkey, which was cool in the end, but we lost a little control with the audio mix. There's definitely something to be said for having a dedicated audio engineer working your live shows who knows the set list and is in tune with the dynamics of the overall performance. Below is video footage from our second to last song played there called Pardon Grace. This is a brand new tune with a big chorus that we noticed was a little TOO big for the space after watching this clip. HA! We are loud and love it!

Did you know that half of the members in Vine House live in Jersey? Better yet, the lead singer lives in the Powerhouse Arts District of Jersey City. The residents of the Powerhouse Arts District have been working hard for years to revive the area and embrace art of all forms with regular art crawls, community gatherings and parties. This past January, I.M. Automata Chino opened their doors as Jersey City's new and only live rock music venue and Vine House is looking forward to regular performances there to entertain the community and support the effort to bring great live music to the Powerhouse Arts District. I.M. Automata Chino is an extension of the popular bar, Iron Monkey. Those of you from the area probably recall that Iron Monkey used to host live music events, but stopped several months ago. The bar is still there, so after the Vine House gig, we'll wonder over there for post-game fun. The music club, while it is somewhat intimate, has a very cool vibe and sweet staff. The band will perform a light electric version of their set with a special picture show behind them on the film screen. Hope to see all of you there! (Note that this venue is 21+ only.) If you are on Facebook, we invite you to RSVP here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=51567342479

Vine House is a band for the future. Not only because of its penchant for foot-stomping party-loving power pop anthems, but because it has embraced a new way of engaging with its fans.
As active social networkers, the four, led by singer songwriter Mark Stancato, have built up a huge following away from their native Gotham – and it’s a following who already know just how powerful their life performances can be.
Vine House was born in 2006 after the break up of Stancato’s former indie band Exit 8. And the success of his previous project, having played the best clubs in NYC and won itself a hefty slice of radio airplay, gave him the confidence to hit the ground running with Vine House.
Stancato, ably assisted by the chunky guitar riffing of Rob Kudyba and the infectious rhythms of Jerry Loch’s bass and Matt Patterson’s drumming, set to work crafting Vine House’s debut album – ‘Young Regret’.
The record was a progression from Exit 8’s raw aggression and saw Stancato truly hone and perfect his songwriting craft. The title track, which sparked the rest of the album, is typical of the more considered approach Stancato took with this record. It is reflective and intelligent but still retains the pop sensibility that throbs throughout the album. ‘Killer on the Road’ is darker and edgier but will still have you grooving away, while ‘Mrs Wallington’ showcases the more mature side to Stancato’s talents.
However, it is the live stage where Vine House truly comes alive. Infused by new tracks like “High Maintenance Girl” and “Billy Robbins”, Stancato and his band have an energy and buzz that is hard to replicate and impossible to fake.
That is why their live shows have attracted so much attention and why their audience just keeps growing. That is also why the music gaming website Stereofame.com jumped at the chance to showcase them recently at New York City's R-Bar and followed-up up with an invitation for them to play their two events in Austin, celebrating the SXSW 2009 festival.
The band will take the stage at The Vortex on March 21 as part of a showcase of new music, with an intimate warm-up show at the Ruta Maya Coffee House on March 20. Both shows are not to be missed…
Meanwhile, keep up with the band - in real time - on tour on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube from anywhere in the world.
Instrumentation Mark Stancato - Lead Vocals, Guitar Rob Kudyba - Lead Guitar, Vocals Jerry Loch - Bass Guitar Matt Patterson - Drums, Vocals
