spring. much to tell. much growing going on. old friends reappearing like new. old songs finding new life. new songs seeing the first light of day. the windows are open and Indiana's finally giving back all that winter took. spring.

Chamberlain reunion shows in one week. i don't know what to think about it. only one week before the five of us step back into it all--for three short days. thousands of miles (and many years) still separate each of us...but I think we all sit in great anticipation of what's to come. full circle. i'm sure each of us has already begun to piece the past back together--one note, one word at a time.  we're off in our own worlds dusting off this old chest full of antique songs that used to burn, bite, piss, scream, fight, kiss, with so much to prove. what will they do for all of us this time around? what else will we find in the chest? old relics, faded pictures of memories barely there, torn at the edges and disappearing a little more every day. what will the songs conjur up? or, perhaps more rightly put, what will we conjur from the songs? aside from discussions via email about what songs to play, what order we might play them in, who's girlfriends or wives will be on the guest lists, we haven't really talked about what this all means. maybe we won't know until it's past. who knows. we'll see each other again on Monday. then the songs start. and then what? Louisville...Indianapolis...Chicago. spring.

Any day now, any day now, I shall be released. June 23rd. "My Lover, My Stranger" will be released. I can't wait for everyone to hear all 12 songs...please track it down and spend some good time with the songs. i love all of you for your patience and continued support. in two short months the songs are finally yours. but keep me posted on how they're doing. god bless you all. i hope to see you in the bosum of the great midwest next weekend. what a time we'll have. here's to the past and the future. here's to new life from old ashes. here's to glorious, ragged, clumsy, beautiful spring.
