Summer Reading - Week 5

tired

Wow! Where has the summer program gone. This is our week 5 and it was a busy, busy one. Our favorite story teen was busy so we had our children's librarian read. We read "Super Fly Guy" by Tedd Arnold and
"Thelonius Monster's Sky-High Fly Pie" by Judy Sierra. We had a raffle for a summer reading t-shirt. We snacked on Cheesy Butterflies. Next week is our big party and raffle. Big Grand Prize!

Summer Reading - Week 4

amused

What a great time we had! 9 kids attended. We read the books Hi Fly Guy by Tedd Arnold and Dot and Jabber in the Big Bug and the Big Bug Mystery by Ellen Stoll Walsh. We made Chenille Butterflies (See slide.com on our page). Snacks were a big hit as Miss Z made Ritzy Spiders! Our weekly drawing was for a butterfly net.

Catch The Reading Bug - Week 3

Wow! We had 12 kids at the reading hour. WE NOW HAVE 9 BUTTERFLIES!!!!! The kids were really excited to see them. We read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle and "Big Bug Surprise" by Julia Gran. The kids and fin making thumbprint bug door signs and book marks. We ate Buggy Trail Mix. They loved it. Cant't wait until next week.
